England’s Academy side overcame a determined French outfit at Castleford on Friday evening with tries in the final two minutes from Jack Johnson and Oliver Gildart.
All looked lost with France leading 30-24 and England seemingly lacking ideas but two brilliant tries with Johnson finishing down the right and then Gildart racing away on the opposite wing left the French desolate.
The final score was England 34 France 30 after both sides had been level at the interval at 14-14.
