Adrian Morley has admitted that he has been very impressed by Salford’s recruitment for the 2016 season.

Daniel Vidot was the latest to come through the doors at Marwan Koukash’s club, with the former Brisbane and future WWE superstar joining the likes of Mark Flanagan, Gareth O’Brien, Phil Joseph and Craig Kopczak at the AJ Bell Stadium ahead of 2016.

Robert Lui has also joined Salford from NRL champions North Queensland Cowboys, whilst Ben Murdoch-Masila has signed from Penrith.

The work done by Tim Sheens since his appointment as director of rugby has been praised by Morley, who retired from playing at the end of last season, and he is keen to see Salford’s new signings in action.

“I think it (the recruitment) has been great,” said Morley.

“Tim Sheens has done a lot of the recruitment and he’s done a very good job. He’s in charge of the Rugby League side of things and his input has helped. In years gone by Marwan has been in charge but now he’s quite prepared to just be the owner and let Tim do his stuff.

“The guys they’ve brought on board are quality players and quality people. The boys are back in training this week and they’ll be ready by the time we make it to Super League.”
