The Xamax BARLA National Cup semi-finals will be played on the originally-scheduled date of Saturday 30 April.
Both games, between Fryston Warriors and Myton Warriors, and East Hull and Thornhill Trojans, had been brought forward seven days by BARLA bosses because Fryston are in the Pennine League’s President’s Cup Final on Monday 2 May, and Thornhill have two fixtures scheduled for 30 April.
However, BARLA Secretary Phil Sharpe has advised: “It is with great regret I have to inform you that the National Cup semi-finals will be held on the original date of 30 April.
“If both teams in both semi-finals had agreed, the games would have been switched. But due to teams not agreeing, the games will now be played on the original date set out at the beginning of the tournament.”
