Brisbane star to chance his arm.. in WWE!

Rugby League and American sports have stepped up their relationship lately with the switch made by Jarryd Hayne to the NFL – and it seems another NRL star is going to chance his arm in the US.

But Brisbane Broncos star Daniel Vidot won’t be swapping a rugby ball for an American football – he’ll be swapping it for a WWE wrestling ring.

Vidot, a full Samoa international with 10 caps to his belt, has confirmed to media in Australia that he’s been offered a tryout with the World Wrestling Entertainment, and he will head to Orlando and their Performance Center to chance his arm and see if he can cut it in professional wrestling.

“I’ve had an approach from the WWE,” Vidot said.

“They’ve contacted me and have offered to fly me over to Orlando in a few weeks to try out for the WWE.

“I’m seriously looking at it.

“They first approached me last year but I was playing good football with the Broncos, so I didn’t take it seriously.

“Then just recently they contacted me again and I’ve decided I’m going to have a crack at it.”
