Oxford Rugby League have strengthened their squad with the signing of 24 year old centre Marcus Brooker.
Brooker played for the Gloucestershire All Golds last year in their debut season in Kingstone Press Championship One and went on to make five appearances scoring two tries in the process. He also played for the Bristol Sonics and has representative honours with England Students.
On joining Oxford RL Marcus said, “I am looking forward to the new challenge that the club will bring. From what I have been told there is a good foundation the club is built on and the progression the club aims to make is something to look forward to and I am excited to be a part of it.
“My aims for this season are to improve myself as a player by trying to improve my own ability and I will be working hard to achieve this as we progress through the season.”
Tony Benson, Oxford coach added, “He’s a big powerful centre who trialled last year but didnt get in however came back this season and really impressed me. He has trained well in pre-season and I am looking forward to seeing how he goes.”
