Castleford Tigers have named a strong squad to face Doncaster in their latest pre-season friendly this weekend, although there is still no place for captain Michael Shenton.
Shenton was away with England during the Autumn, and is yet to feature for the club in pre-season this year. The Tigers’ third friendly in warm-up for the new season also sees notable absentees such as Adam Milner and Junior Moors – the latter of which is locked in a fitness battle to be fit for the start of the season.
Daryl Powell has also included some of the club’s Under 19s players in the squad, as the Tigers take a 22-strong party to the Keepmoat Stadium this Sunday (3pm). Ryan Boyle will also make his long-awaited return to action in the clash against Paul Cooke’s side.
