Catalan Dragons fined £1,000 for improper conduct

Catalan Dragons have been fined £1,000 for a breach of RFL Operational Rules by questioning the integrity of the sport’s disciplinary process following the suspension of player Zeb Taia for three matches for a reckless shoulder charge in a Super League Round 23 fixture against St Helens on Saturday August 3.
Catalan were found to be guilty of improper conduct under Operational Rule D1.8 (c) after posting videos claiming they were not treated in the same manner as other RFL member clubs.
Catalan Dragons chairman Bernard Guasch and coach Laurent Frayssinous have also been fined £500 each, £250 of which is suspended until the end of the 2014 season, for publicly questioning the integrity of the disciplinary process following the suspension of Taia.
