Catalans sign Fiji international

Catalans Dragons have made their sixth signing of the off-season in the shape of Fiji International Brayden Wiliame on a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old is a versatile back who joins the Dragons from Manly Sea Eagles, where he scored six tries in 18 appearances last year.

“I am really excited to be joining the Catalans Dragons,” said Wiliame.

“I have enjoyed my time at Manly but look forward to playing aside Greg Bird and helping the Dragons chase a premiership.”

Catalans Dragons head coach Laurent Frayssinous said: “I’m really satisfied with the signing of Brayden. He has the profile we were looking for, I mean a young player, ambitious, with a real sense of professionalism on and off the field. He already has a great experience in the NRL despite his young age and his versatility is a real asset. It is a powerful and agile player, who likes playing in the spaces and he has a very good tackle technique.”
