Hull Kingston Rovers coach Chris Chester is confident that youngster Matty Marsh will catch the eye on his Super League debut tonight.
Marsh is expected to feature on the interchange bench for KR’s home clash against Salford, as Chester rotates his pack given how they are in the middle of three games in ten days.
And with Marsh impressing in academy and loan stints elsewhere, Chester believes KR fans will be excited by what they see tonight.
“We’re looking at putting Matty on the bench and it’s a credit to him,” Chester told the Hull Daily Mail.
“He’s worked hard and been playing consistently well for Newcastle Thunder, and it’s nice that he gets an opportunity to play. That’s what it’s all about.
“He’s got a good opportunity to show me and the rest of the people what Matty Marsh is all about.
“The good thing at this club, and what we are trying to do, is to give these young kids an opportunity and he’s got a fantastic one tonight.
“I’m confident that Matty will take the opportunity with both hands.”
