NEWCASTLE THUNDER team chief Chris Thorman has been praised by a rival coach for his work in the face of adversity. The former Workington boss took charge of his home-city club in 2023 and remained on board after the club nearly went under at the end of that year. Thunder haven't won any of their 26 matches since, losing all 20 in the league
