Ben Crooks has paid testament to Castleford team mate Joel Monaghan, and is determined to enjoy success with his wing partner going forward.
The pair made their competitive debuts for the Tigers in their 16-16 draw with Hull Kingston Rovers, with Crooks playing inside the experienced winger.
And as their partnership blossoms, Crooks is hopeful that they can cause havoc together.
“Joel’s such an experienced player and he’s done so much in the game – he’s really helped to steady me in pre-season,” he told TotalRL.
“I’d be delighted if it came down to the punch and he was out there finishing off the tries I’m setting up, I think it’d be a cracking partnership. He’s played a bit of centre too so he’s been giving me tips.”
