League Express understands a deal has been agreed that will see the Wolves forward stay with the club next season.
Talk surrounding the backrower’s future has run rife for weeks, with both Leeds and Wigan linked with a move for the 25-year-old.
However, NRL clubs were also interested in the England international, who strongly considered a move away from the club.
But he has ultimately decided to stay put. He has put pen to paper on a contract to remain at the club where he has been since the start of his professional career.
Currie made his debut in primrose and blue as a 17-year-old in 2012 and has remained at the club ever since.
He has gone on to represent the club on more than 160 occasions and earned international honours with both Ireland and England, playing for the latter in the 2017 World Cup Final.
It comes as a big boost to head coach Steve Price, who has already lost Ben Murdoch-Masila from his pack next season, with the forward heading to the New Zealand Warriors.
Wolves CEO Karl Fitzpatrick discussed contract negotiations last week.
“There’s nothing to confirm,” he said.
“We’re working our way through them, some are at a more advanced stage than others but at this stage, there’s nothing to confirm due to the situation of Covid.”
Others, such as Jason Clark, Dec Patton and Matty Davis, are all off-contract at the end of the season.
