Daryl Clark fancies a crack at NRL in the future

2014 Steve Prescott Man of Steel winner Daryl Clark admits that, sometime in the future, he would relish the challenge of tackling the NRL – but says that is a few years away from happening just yet.

Clark, who will head across the Pennines to take up a deal with Warrington Wolves in 2015, cites himself as a “massive” supporter of the Australian top division, saying he watches the game as much as humanly possible.

And the lively hooker will have certainly caught the ear of a few NRL clubs with his quotes about a desire to play there one day, saying he would love to test himself against the very best. However, he urged that any move Down Under is a few years away yet – as he wants to establish himself as a top quality Super League hooker first and foremost.

“I’m a massive fan of the NRL,” Clark said. “I watch pretty much every game. “I’ve got them on series link and I watch them on my days off through the week.

“One day I would like to go there and test myself but I want to establish myself in Super League first. Maybe in a few years’ time.”
