Wakefield Wildcats head coach Brian Smith has demanded more from his side following their 32-6 defeat to Castleford.
The Wildcats were far from their best against the Tigers, and the performance disappointed Smith.
“When we play against a good team like that at home… we need to be very close to our best and I thought we were well off that today.
“We were comprehensively outplayed for substantial parts of the game. We have to get into some sort of domination and whenever we had that we managed to kick the ball dead. On a small pitch like that once you let the pressure off as easy as we did it was an open invitation for them to use their skills.
“It was trench warfare today. It was the slowest game in Rugby League history today I would suggest and we couldn’t control them in those circumstances, so we’ve got to learn fast.”
