Hull FC winger Fetuli Talanoa insists that the team’s destiny is in their own hands, after their nerve-jangling win against Wakefield on Sunday.
That win, combined with Hull KR’s loss at Huddersfield, ensured FC’s move into the top eight, with just three games remaining prior to the split later this month.
“We have been able to take our mind off footy for a day or so,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.
“With with a week-long break to recover, we can get our bodies right and prepare for the visit of Castleford this coming Sunday with confidence.
“The job of making the eight is in our own hands now. We don’t have to rely on other teams losing which is great.
“For us the timing is excellent. We need to kick on now, cement our spot and keep this winning vibe going.”
