Farrell and O’Loughlin cleared to play against New Zealand

England back-rowers Liam Farrell and Sean O’Loughlin will be available to play against New Zealand on Saturday after they avoided punishment for tackles made during Sunday’s loss to Australia.

Referee Gerard Beale put both men on report for their offences – Farrell for a chicken wing tackle on Greg Inglis and O’Loughlin for tripping Australia captain Cameron Smith. But both were found to be innocent and received no ban.

Australian loose forward Greg Bird was also cleared of blame for a lifting tackle on Sean O’Loughlin that cause the England captain to land on his head.
