Fax snap up Robinson

Halifax have confirmed the capture of halfback Connor Robinson.

As first revealed by League Express, the playmaker joins the club after a successful stint with York City Knights.

The 25-year-old returns to The Shay after leaving Fax to join the Knights in 2017.

He was named the League 1 player of the year after guiding the Knights to promotion in 2018 before experiencing another strong campaign last year as York finished third in the Championship.

He will wear blue and white again next season and returns ready to pick up some unfinished business.

“I feel that I left without fulfilling my potential before,” said Robinson.

“When my agent mentioned the interest, it felt like an opportunity to come back and right those wrongs from last time.

“I have had a great time at York. We had some memorable years, but the opportunity to go back and play at Halifax was too good to turn down. After speaking to Grixy (Simon Grix) and Ian Croad, it was a no-brainer to come back and be a part of the family. 2021 cannot come quickly enough and I will do everything I can to push Fax to promotion to Super League.”
