Featherstone could announce four signings this week

Featherstone Rovers head coach Andy Hay has revealed the club could be set to announce up to four new signings this weekend, as they gear up for an assault on promotion to Super League in 2015.

With Featherstone set to host an open day at the club this weekend, Hay is hopeful that they will have four signatures across the line to be presented to fans this Saturday – as well as insisting they may be able to announce some renewals amongst the current squad, too.

He did however insist though, that this would be dependent on the club “tying up some loose ends” prior to the open day, which begins at 8:30am this Saturday.

“There is a possibility we could announce four new signings on Saturday,” Hay said. “There will also be a couple of contract extensions for current players as well.

“Hopefully, the new signings will be there on Saturday. We are tying up some loose ends this week. It’s taken a little longer than we thought because of the calibre of player we are chasing.

“I hope the fans come down. It will be chance for them to have a look at what we are doing and meet the new players.”
