Five things to watch out for in Super League tonight

How will Wigan respond to the internal investigation?

There has been plenty of talk surrounding the Warriors this week following allegations of an incident involving some of their players outside a local gym.

The club has remained tight-lipped even since the accusations were made at the weekend, simply confirming that an internal investigation is taking place.

It will be interesting to see if any notable names drop out of the squad tonight for their match with Salford.

 All or nothing for Huddersfield

With seven regular league games remaining, it is pretty much now or never for the Huddersfield Giants in their pursuit of a top eight finish.

The Giants’ defeat to Widnes last weekend has left them in an unenviable position, six points behind the eighth-placed Vikings.

Another loss tonight could all but confirm their place in the Qualifiers.

Hull FC seek redemption

It’s been a pretty special year at the KC Stadium so far this season, however a low point came when they were hammered by the Widnes Vikings in Round 5.

A players-only meeting had many people perplexed and others questioning Lee Radford.

But since then the Airlie Birds have seen their form improve dramatically, so much so that they are now top of the Super League ahead of their clash with Denis Betts’ side.

They will definitely be out to get revenge tonight.

Leeds look to avoid unwanted record

It’s been a pretty miserable year at the Leeds Rhinos, and their 2016 squad could hold an unwanted record should they not win tonight.

Not since 1985 has a Leeds team gone seven matches without a win, but following five consecutive Super League defeats and a Challenge Cup reverse against Huddersfield, Brian McDermott’s side could make unwanted history should they be defeated by Catalans.

Cunningham faces his critics

Keiron Cunningham vowed to silence his doubters last week ahead of St Helens’ match with Hull FC. Although they lost that match, Saints put in an improved performance in the build up to tonight’s derby with Warrington.

With so much on the line – Saints could be cut adrift of the top four should they lose tonight, fans are demanding a result.
