Whilst not on the cards, could the Super League sides not enter U20's at Championship level, under the proviso they can rise no higher than The Championship obviously.
Would bring Sunday rugby back to towns that now only tend to play on a Friday evening, could give a shot in the arm to the attendances of clubs, I would imaging Swinton v Wigan in Championship 1 would pull in well above Swintons average gate for this season as an example.
Plus would give some of our younger players a chance to shine in the spotlight given the additional Sky coverage that the Championship divisions now attract.
superb idea

While we are on the theme of best players/ unfulfilled potential thought it might be fun to start one on players who actually were superb for club but not so good for country,
my choices are leaning to keiron cunningham or sean long

Ratchford is injured at the moment. He needs to get that sorted for next season.
oh right wasnt aware, in all honesty i think he could do with a move, mcrae is wastin ghis talent playing on the wing etc! and i think he will have a job on shifting holdsworth or smith. We need a half back at bradford i think he would flourish in a set position with a coach giving him a chance to play where hes best.
back on to sykes, steve mac could have even put richard horne in its always been our problem wheter england or GB playing people out of position

I'm going to the game on Sunday - my first trip to Whitehaven in fact. It's an interesting side, but I don't imagine too many of them will be heading down under for the 4 Nations.
When I was looking at the squad on teletext, my 12 year old son looked at the TV and the first thing he said was "Why does Paul Sykes always get picked? He's ######." Despite much thought I still can't give him an answer.
i too wouldnt be able to answer the question! why not give someone like stefan ratchford a chance, kids like him are the future and i think with the right coaching could be our answer to the halves, surprised in all the threads ive read he hasnt been mentioned.

fairly strong looking side, nice to see lynchy getting a bit of recognition deserves to go down under in my eyes, cant believe sykes is at 6 though! would have preferred murrell to start there looking at the team

Teams don't seem to do well playing out of temporary accommodation. Every game will be almost an away fixture, and I'd expect crowd numbers to be down as well. I think we may have already seen the resulting anticipated drop in income factored into next season's signings - Saints could really have done with signing a top player along the lines of Gidley/Lyon but this hasn't happened, for the 1st time in a long while.
And then there's the irreplaceable KC.
Also, it'll be impossible to replicate the Knowsley Road atmosphere - don't underestimate the contribution of the fans!
i seem to remember us (bradford) not losing a game at valley parade

i might get shot down in flames for it but id have lynch in if 100% because i thoink his go forward is good, although graham did slip my mind
-
probably been done a thousand times but if you could pick a 17 for the opening game of the four nations who would you pick? id go for
1) Widdop
2) Hall
3) Atkins
4) Shenton
5) Briscoe
6) S.Tomkins
7) Eastmond (if fit)
Fielden
9) Sinfield
10) Morley
11) Burgess
12) Ellis
13) O'Loughlin
14) Roby
15) Westwood
16) Lynch
17) J.Tomkins
sure theres a couple in there ill get slated for

well how i see it, the simplest way is the team finishing bottom of super league is replaced by the team winning CC1, regardless of who finishes bottom. Im not bashing expansion clubs but why should another team be punished for someone elses failings. I do think liscensing is a good idea but if the team coming up qualify for a liscense replace the team finishing bottom with them. I understand every fans concern under super league and it gives teams outside super league effectively nothing to play for. I see fans from super league clubs saying its getting boring and tiresome but they would be the ones complaining if it was the other way round

i dont necessarily think Mcnamamanamayrmamarm will prove this to be correct in his case as i dont think he has the attributes to be a good national coach but what if he does... and proves you wrong?
theres nothing id love more than for him to be successful and im not for all this im not supporting england while hes in charge! i know some of our fans who said the same, im sure these people will change their tune as soon as he gets an unexpected result, which with the players we have in certain positions is bound to happen at some point! forget whos in charge just get behind the team because 95% of the players will have been picked regardless who the coach is
-
He is a great talent but we must remember he is still only 16, he shouldn't feature for a few years yet.
how old was leon pryce when he debuted? i think if your good enough your old enough im not saying this or next year but i think by the time a player gets to 18 should be on his way to being ready, correct me if im wrong but i think big sam was only 17 too

With quite a few second rows including James Donaldson and Elliott Whitehead certain to get picked next year,
going off subject a tad keep an eye out for a young man by the name of john bateman coming through, i know steve mac was hoping for a future back row of whitehead, donaldson and bateman, the kid is a special talent glad he chose to sign for us whilst he had many other options
-
i michael jennings and steve matai are off contract at the end of this year very long shot, for me tho jennings is one of the most exciting centres in the world but affording someone like him could be nigh on impossible
-
i just feel we need the experience if we are to start moving forward again, but the question is who is available who would fit into budget
-
think mr potter has a job on is hands finding us 2 decent centres now, i dont think we will start to see the fruits of his labour until 2012 to be honest
-
. Most entertaining thing about him was the first game of the season and seeing how much hair he had lost each winter
classic!!!!!!!!

City vs Town Origin
City Origin
Hull
Leeds
Bradford
Wakefield
Salford
Liverpool (Graham)
London
Sheffield
etc, etc
Town Origin
Wigan
St Helens
Warrington
Castleford
Huddersfield
Widnes
Leigh
Halifax
etc, etc
I think that would give players the incentive and the fans too! I would watch a match like that.
Imagine a SOO style intro with the players saying their name and where they come from; "James Graham - Liverpool", "Louie McCarthy Scarsbrook - London", "Richie Myler - Widnes", "Kyle Eastmond - Oldham". I can see that would interest fans outside the super league too.
Can't think of why it's not been mooted before?
We've got to forget anything that involves players from other countries, it's got to be British vs British so we can have at least 40 of our top players testing themselves out against each other. Reds vs Blues, East vs West, Probables vs Possibles doesn't do it for me but I'm a proud 'townie' and would love to put one over those 'city slickers'.
best idea ive seen posted on here

Yes we have struggled this season. We obviously didnt play ast game against Heworth.
A lot of injuries, few with covid and being sensible about it. Tried rearranging the game with Heworth but they would not as they were receiving the trophy
Resulting in us getting lambasted with £1000 in fines when other clubs repeatedly missed fixtures.
Best not air my true views but the league don't take to criticism well
