I wonder if the ability to do the Haka means that he counts against our overseas quota.

Totally agree. Top class entertainment from both teams. Couple of lucky bounces for K.R., with kicks through, decided the game in the end but both teams put on a good disciplined display. Well worth another visit.

Stuart is suggesting in his match report that Tim Spears and Mike Coady will replace Jon Steel and Ross Divorty
Can't claim the credit for this report Vic. I was at the game but had enough on keeping the scoreboard ticking over. I'm glad somebody's taken this on board though because the lads deserve a mention.

Thanks Stu
Stu's match reports are vital for all fans who can't get to a Rovers game for whatever reason. Fans who can't attend eagerly await news of how we get on. The reports are always on the website. A cracking read too, and a good reference for all fans.
NOw they're not there.
Why not?
Worse still, they've been replaced by some three line "summary" which is just a list of scorers masquerading as a match report.
I think we should be told.........
Sorry MLP I've not been given access to the new site so I don't know if the plan is to link to past games. I will continue to do the reports though and send them in. Thanks for the kind words.

That where Briggs shaped to kick then went thru was the moment of the game for me - absolute class
Closely followed by Liam Finn looking to his left to see who was overtaking him and seeing a prop that had been on the field for 45 minutes. An excellent try all round starting on our own 10m line and moving the ball 90m to score.

Two tries and a kick from the DVD are here -
The whole DVD is well worth a fiver and it helps boost the coffers.
Congratulations to Steve Evans and Martin Overton. A really professional product with plenty of passion.

Get well soon Bob. Hope they've let you take your laptop in.

One of the domains need to 301 redirect into the other depending on which they want to market it as. It's just seen as duplicate content at the moment.
Cracking work on the posters!
Clear as mud to me Chris I'm afraid.
Anyway at the moment the site is still available on
http://www.featherstonerovers.com/
But I know it will go down soon and hopefully the new site will be ready.

The latest Mick Hollinworth/Jon-paul Jones poster is on the intro page to the website

Just thought i would put on just incase people didn't realise.
Announced to Blades crowd this weekend inviting new supporters. Be interesting to see if there is any take up.

When is the web site going to post the new seasons fixtures? They where shown once as I
previosly posted on this forum first match Sat Aril 10th but according to the rovers web site "The actual nights or days for the Reserve team games are yet to be confirmed. The fixtures will be listed here as soon as possible." well according to the rugby league and the sheffield website they have been confirmed and there's been a change
First game Friday 9th April KO 19.45
also can we have the squad updated, the reserves are a good side with some excellent players playing some cracking rugby and know this isnt true but to an outsider it would appear that the web sites not bothered about them so please can some one bring it up to date
I put the fixtures up and was then instructed to remove them until they were fully confirmed. Sorry about the reserve profiles. Still waiting for the new site, promised again as recently as last Monday, and time to get down and take the photos. Thanks though for the reminder. I'll chase it up.

I'm sure your mum would have been proud of your performance. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

York Acorn U14 v Stanley Rangers U14
Kick Off 12:30
See the future of Rovers with scholarship players
Harry Bromwich (York) and Jordan Sharp, Jack Rules, Tyler Kaye (Stanley) -
Having done the job myself, albeit at a much lower level, you'd think I'd know better, but I'm as bad as anybody for calling the referee during a game. It's amazing how much better their performance looks when the adrenaline stops and I watch the game on DVD later.
Good luck to anyone who takes it on.

It was tough, plus i know no one from Dewsbury will watch it
I know what it is like. Writing the match report for the NRC game against you lot last year, I stopped to wonder - "Is this worth it. Will anybody read it?"
-
Possibly another section that should be included in requirements for a franchise -
"It was Wigan coach Michael Maguire's first visit to the Jungle and he seemed less than impressed with the surroundings.
The Wigan team opted not to use facilities at the ground, arriving already changed and showering elsewhere afterwards."

Couldnt find a thread about him to bump so
Whats peoples views on him? I heard it was one month loan deal, on present viewing id love to see him in a rovers shirt for longer think he has performed really well and suits our style of play to the ground.
Hope we keep him longer
100% agree. The Kaye/Kain option is the best we've had for a long time.

A monster performance today from us.Fax got 12 late points to draw level after Chappy sent off but PNG winger won it for us in injury time! You never know we might get you in the quarter finals..
Ha, Ha, bl@@dy Ha.

Sorry Stuart, only just got to look at it cos been at the Lincolnshire coast all weekend. Missed the best match in years, will have to make do with the dvd
You'll certainly find loads of 'deliberate' mistakes on the DVD. Must be dangerous playing against St Helens with all those lions at Knowsley Park!!
-
great report.... wrong ref
Thanks.
Give that man a cigar for finding this week's deliberate mistake. Your slipping Sidnee!
I wish I could edit the DVD commentary as easily as I can a web page.

No-one seems to have commened on the fact that Toulouse themsleves have a tough CC tie against St Helens this weekend. Agreed they have one more day recovery time but surely this needs to be taken into concideration.
