Well said Bob. I can't say more to a perfect thread.

Good all round support play from everyone . I thought Dane Manning was spakling tonight. It seems that we really can turn to others when we think the main guys are out.
-
, "Relegate Wakefield" pleeeeeaaaaase.
It would not be relegation. It should be but it isn't. It would be removal of franchise licence. Theres a big difference.

When I saw the thread title I thought the thread was going to be about Robin!

If so many of our players are good enough for Super League, then we must be allowed to show our strength by going into the Super League. BRING BACK REAL COMPETITION WITH P&R

Im talking 7 years ago Vic regards the horn, do the present rules say no Vuvuzelas?
I can just imagine the crowd at Anfield against Man Utd been told to hush a bit because some fans want to discuss the game, or the old Threpanny stand at Hull, it was so bad there away players used to have to walk out of the tunnel with a home player. They never told the crowd to tone it down because it gave them an advantage.
I sometimes think Rovers get the crowds some fans deserve, but sorry to dissapoint some but the more success we get the noisier and rowdier it will get, bring it on i say
I've never complained about the amount of noise. People move away from me when I'm in form. More noise more people would be great. I was merely pointing out, in response to your post, that there is a set of rules.
-
.... but i do wish the club would have some rules regarding what you can and can not bring in the ground.
There is a set of rules, I saw them this morning and it does say, along with other things, no air horns allowed.
Ask Kevin Preston to show you them.

was great to see you yesterday Bob
Seconded.
-
I agree with that Robin. I thought the Aural support was good yesterday. We did'nt need anything other than the drum, but if that's what fans want so be it. I wish I still had my dad's old rattle though.
-
I'd go along with that but I would put Matty Dale first. The more I see him play the more I see how quiet but deadly he is. He deserved man of the match.
-
Hahaha. . Deary me. . 30thousand horns in 1 ground or 2 horns to try and generate sum atmosphere. . . Not happy. . . I don't believe its come from the ref at all. .Youve not heard the last of the vuvus. . .
Edited due to text speak
How does that noise generate a better atmosphere?

Don't get me started on the failings and wrongs of Super league. Everything about it is wrong and harmful to the game of Rugby league.
-
My first game of the season, I hope it's a winning one, but the joy off just being there will make my day/season.
You do realise you are well behind with your Golden Gamble tickets? No free lunches Bob.
-
Bob, for me you are doing a good job on a thankless task. Please keep doing it. Ask the biggest complainers to do the job and see how they suddenly have other things to do!

Yes readers, according to their forum, unless I'm hopelessly wrong Fax have signed Graham Holroyd! - Wonder if Newy, and Steve Nash fancy a game??
Who's Graham Holroyd? Is he good, bad or indifferent?

The RFL must now start listening to clubs and supporters. It's time to change the system and bring back promotion and relegation. I know it's an issue that keeps arising but that's because the present system is wrong. We must have something to play for and that something is the opportunity to reach the very top of the game fairly through effort and not by the whim of a committee.
-
Well said Terry Matterson. It's time for all clubs to speak out and very loudly.
-
What about your wallpapering?
It doesn't take long for someone to lower the tone of a very sensible thread! Just thought I would PASTE this notice.
-
It's no good. I just can't stop replaying that Halifax match. It's the best rugby I've seen for years. The team were pure dynamite, the crowd was all Rovers. We can go anywhere now. O hell, excuse me, I've got to go and watch it again.
-
Great news, especially Kain. He could have thrown his teddy out of the pram and walked away because he isn't starting matches but when he comes off the bench he makes an impact and has a crucial role to play.
I think bringing Andy on during the game is a very clever move. Just when they think they have us sorted, out comes this whippet and runs them to rags all over the field. Great strategy by Powell.

An excellent article and something some of us have been banging on about since the inception of Sooper Dooper. (Read my letter in the 'other' paper last week.) To play your heart out all season for nothing at the end is absolutely BONKERS. I think the RFL are bonkers if they cannot see the lifeblood of our sport being drained out by the lack of competition for the very top spot. BRING BACK COMPETITIVE LEAGUES WITH PROMOTION AND RELEGATION NOW!!

How do you watch it on the internet?
yes. How do you watch it on the internet? I've now got to wait while Suggy gets himself blathered in sun and kebabs in Turkey before I can get a copy. Inconsiderate I call it.

"You could tell we played Sunday, we looked tired to be honest
A Matt calland quote in the Halifax Courier. I thought it would be good luck. They were tired. Now you know why we won.
Did you see it?

Well done Batley. A great victory. Did you see the report on 'Look North' this morning? or on the local 'Calendar' news. Did you see the pictures of the players rejoicing and holding up the cup? NO. Not a word! Not a mention! Once again the RFL has missed out on a wonderful opportunity to spread the good word about Rugby League. They should have been knocking on the doors of the stations. Where is the publicity team? What a shower they are.
