  1. i remember watching the league game from shedingley against saints just before the semi final what a pure coincidence that both pryce and eastmond were injured and missed the semi, in the wigan game in the play offs, what a coincidence that paul deacon was injured so early in the game which he was bossing. and now the whino's are whinging about mcguire..................pot kettle and black spring to mind.

  2. Do you ever give it a rest.

Change your name to "keyboard warrior" saddo.

How somebody that follows a team that has had the Hulme sisters,Kurt Sorenson, etc, etc, talking about pantomime villains.

    Jeez.

mate this keyboard warrior gets of his ###### every week during the season and goes to watch his team, as long as i have been watching rugby league leeds have always been the masters of the cheap shot, from syd hines and co up to todays team...............what a shame great players like shoebottom and holmes played for such a detestable club.

  3. Nowhere have I said my clubs fans are angels - I am asking for opinions on how the HKR Club should be punished for the actions of one or two of their fans.

Do you think seeing Wigan players not standing under the sticks is a good image for our great game - unfortunately these scenes were rescreened on the BBC yesterday and a couple of colleagues from work mentioned it.

Do you think the fine should be equal to or more than the one Cas got?

don't get me wrong kenny, i agree with everything you say. and yes hkr should get the same punishment as cas, simply because they "attacked" players on the pitch by throwing objects at them.

  4. oh for gods sake kenny, how can a cas fan pontificate about the behaviour of another clubs fans after your own fans behaviour in the last two seasons???

that said, it does appear to be endemic with yorkshire clubs, first hull the cas and now hullkr..................

  5. ha, ha you whooly backs have never had a sense humour and your as thik as pig shiiiite 1 good way to wind a wooly up is call hima scouser. Well done dummy hook line and sinker

shouldn't you be tearing down goalposts or throwing lighters at players or damaging cars belonging to visiting fans.............thick vandalizing hull tw'at!!

  6. the club has ploughed a lot of time and money into the academy, which for me was exactly the right thing to do, as bomb jack said, it's far far better to go down this route than bring in ageing players for a quick fix. this has also got to be a massive box ticked when you consider that to win this title they are the only non super club in the valvoline championship and have beaten every other team in the competition.

  7. I take it you are not a geography or sociology student. Nor, unlike me, done extensive research watching

    Alan Bleasdale dramas.

Being scousers they could reasonably be expected to steal half the budget and fiddle the rest from social security. Then there's the fee for "looking after" the cars of visiting spectators in a public carpark.

    B););):D

for a start, st helens has ###### all to do with liverpool, having a totally different culture and accent, just for you my ignorant yorkie of apparent welsh descent to be a scouser you have to be born in the old town area of liverpool which is roughly from the mersey to kensington. anyone born out side this area is a wait for it.........LACASTRIAN not just a liverpudlian because liverpudlians are also LACASTRIANS, that means the disricts of huyton, west derby, hunts cross, crosby etc etc etc are not historically in the town of liverpool and therefore are not scousers. now as for st helens the town has never and is still not associated in any way shape or form with liverpool, as for the slight of the "social security, i think that you will find that the city of bradford has more people claiming benefits per capita than st helens which is roughly the same size as bradford. so rather than trotting out the same old tired line about st heleners being scousers, please try researching your posts before making a complete ###### of yourself again in the future.................

  8. Bailey, a man with four grand final winners rings. Tomkins, a man with no medals or brain.

joel tomkins, a man in the super league dream team and a shoe in for the 4 nations and a very talented player to boot.........................

ryan bailey, ###### who runs away from anyone of equal size who stands up to him. i still remember him running off the pitch at widnes after he dropped the elbow on terry o'connor as third man in the tackle (as usual) just because terry went for him.

  9. I was just thinking the other day both players may be as ill disaplined as one another but in all fairness at least Joel is a very talented Rugby League player, whereas it seems Ryan is propped up by his team. I guess this may seem unfair but I'm not trying to be, as I don't supportan SL team. It's just when I see Joel Tomkins it's not always aimed at the smallest Backs on the team. I agree with the Sky Sports commentator who said Joel Tomkins could be a liability (or words to that affect) for England due to his ill disapline. So, in my opinion Wigan need to do something about his 'hot-head'. Whereas Bailey needs to be demoted to a Co-op Championship squad as he's just not good enough for a top level SL Prop, in my opinion.

On a side note; does Bailey always hide behind his teammates during 'biff' which he's started?

he would get eaten alive by the likes of sean hesketh, brett mcdermott and marc jackson....

  10. Ten best full backs in the world, based on current form:

    Billy Slater

    Jarryd Hayne

    Josh Dugan

    Darius Boyd

    Lachlan Coote

    Matt Bowen

    Anthony Minichiello

    Preston Campbell

    Lance Hohaia

    Luke Patten

Paul Wellens would never be chosen over any of the above ten by any NRL club.

The only bright spots for England are the possible repositioning of Sam Tomkins (thereby weakening the halves) or else promotion of the Melbourne-trained Gareth Widdop.

Why are English full backs so unimpressive in attack?

It is a long historical oddity. Perhaps it is a result of the soggy grounds on which rugby league used to be played in winter. Australians had firmer grounds, which favoured agile and fleet footed runners. Yet after fourteen years of summer rugby league, England has been unable to produce a top quality attacking and defensive full back.

So the question still remains without a satisfactory answer.

The lack of classy full backs, along with the lack of classy attacking centres, is the main reason why England cannot beat Australia in a three match series or in a Tri Nations or a World Cup.

campbell is primarily a half back and boyd a winger.....and FFS luke patten???
