Another good one is to tell them that somebody is at the door and that you'll be back in a moment ...

KR didn't do themselves justice today and (whilst I'm personally very happy with the result and think that Wigan deserve a lot of credit for their performance) I can't help but feel that this may have been a case of 'a game too far' for them.
They and their fans should be incredibly proud of their season and I look forward to seeing what they bring to the party next season.

This is a game I'm very much looking forward to watching. I've said previously on a few occasions now that I enjoy watching HKR play and I am happy to say that this season I've also very much enjoyed watching the Leigh play.
Hoping for a cracker.
I think home advantage may help KR this time but Leigh are more than capable of taking the win.

Getting a long overdue repress on vinyl soon. Good news for me cos whilst I have it on cd this is a hole I've wanted to fill in my vinyl collection for a while.

I resent being charged rip off prices in city centres like Leeds or Manchester or Newcastle. But maybe a struggling local pub that has to put up its prices to survive? I don’t mind that so much, as at least it’s understandable in this day and age.
And I say that as an orthodox tightarse.
Whilst I do understand where you are coming from, the nearest pub to me wants £5.10 for a Guinness so it's very rare I go in when I can get a better pint for a quid less just a few minutes walk away.

I was in Spoons in Neath in July
£1.77 a pint for Ruddles
One thing about Weatherspoons is that the prices are always attractive.
Strangely enough though the two local to me have different prices for some stuff IE Guinness in Accy is £3.11 whilst it's £3.32 in Blackburn.

Losing pubs isn't a good thing but neither is being charged more for a pint than you should be.
I go out once a week (Friday afternoon) and I usually combine it with a fair bit of walking (depending on the weather) but the £2 bus fare means it's easy for me to try new areas.
I was in Burnley last week, this week I'm planning to go to Great Harwood and the following week the wife and I are off to Preston (absolutely love drinking in Preston!)
I'm building up a familiarity with many towns now and I personally love the variety of pubs that can be found BUT if I feel I'm being overcharged anywhere then I don't go in that pub again. I'm guessing I'm not alone in that?

Great entertainment on show there. Full marks to both teams.

When Jeremy Hunt said that over 50s should be in work to help the economy and that we had "20 years of hard graft" left in us, I wondered whether he had ever done any hard graft?
39 years was enough for me.
Any "hard graft" that I left will be spent doing the things I want to do. Mr Hunt and his ilk can go themselves.

“Harry Smith puts the kick in”… sorry but how is Bill Arthur still our main commentator.
Indeed.
Twice as well.
I don't normally make comments regards the Sky team but that is embarrassing.

Many years after first watching it (I used to download the episodes) we went through the first and only series of The Dresden Files on Freevee.
I thought it was even better than I remembered it and we enjoyed it tremendously. Worth a watch if you are into stuff with magic and the occult.
I must try the books at some point in the future.

That was quite some finish from Young!

Really looking forward to this one. Hope it fulfills it's potential to be an absolute belter.

This is a good watch with Richard going into a bit more detail about the book and its contents.

Got to be honest .. I thought Wigan smashed them in every measurable way.
Catalan were has bad in the ruck/PTB as Wigan were but Wigan had their measure.
If that is what the Dragons have to bring at the business end of the season then they are gonna go home empty handed.
I said earlier in this thread that I was living in hope... I'm no longer living that way.
Massive thumbs up to Liam Byrne who ended that game like a gladiator

I turned 56 in July and in all honesty I'm living my best life now.
The past can be a nice place to visit occasionally but I sure wouldn't want to go back permanently.

As I have gotten older (56) I have found myself becoming less patriotic with the passage of the time. These days the only thing I consider myself to be is a working class northerner.
