They'd do well to sign whoever's in charge of coach and player recruitment at Salford. They keep getting it right.

Unless it's a long term contract with a big payoff if you get sacked after 2 seasons I wouldn't go near.

OK you've made your point. Calling someone childish and an idiot is hardly saying something respectfully but maybe that's just me.
I wasn't trying to be respectful

You have chosen to call me childish and now an idiot to try to make your point. I'm pretty sure you can't see the irony in that.
Inclusivity comes in all forms and you can't pick and chose what you want to be inclusive about. Blocking people you disagree with by it's very nature is not inclusive. In the context I said it it was correct. By the way I absolutely admire the work Keighley do in raising awareness of LGBTQ issues but equally find their attitude to other things completely bizarre.
Unless you're a persecuted minority, and not just someone having a dig at them on the internet it's not remotely comparible. What was your wording exactly? Hugely respectfully put im sure.

Please clarify. I have no idea what you mean
You're comparing their efforts at raising awareness about lgbtq inclusivity with blocking some idiot having a go at them on the internet. That's childish.

In the context it was used it was absolutely correct.
No it wasn't, inclusive of race, gender and sexuality is not the same as inclusive of some rando having a go at them on the internet

How is it a childish dig? I pointed out they had articles on their website written by AI. They took exception to that which is their perogative. I don't think it's very inclusive to block everyone they don't agree with but there we are.
Your use of the word inclusive in this context is a childish dig.

I think previous topics have touched on this issue so apologies if we are covering old ground.
Over the last 12 months I've pretty much stopped following most RL news outlets and journalists. I still think there are some good ones out there like John Davidson and the Forty20 crew.
Nearly everyone is following clicks now and copy and pasting others. Lately I've seen loads of articles written by AI (just been blocked by 'inclusive' Keighley Cougars for pointing out their articles are written by AI). As good journalists retire or pass away they are replaced by click bait merchants. I'm a bit disillusioned with this aspect of our sport.
I understand this isnt just a RL issue but does anyone else feel this way? Is it really that bad? How do you get credible RL news?
Childish dig at Keighley Cougars there. What did you say to get blocked exactly?

They didn't do it years ago because it's a waste of money that would be better saved up for either the new stadium they were working on for years or the backup plan for a proper redevelopment of Wheldon Road. Forcing clubs into taking short-term measures which aren't really in their interests and don't really improve things is an unfortunate by-product of the spreadsheet exercise.
They've had plenty of time. Now's the time for action.

Bradford City used to be an RL team too. Bradford could've had two.

The title just says it all really.
Any explanations why?
Rifts like Everton/Liverpool or something less dramatic?
Thank you..
Because it's a big city

How do I tag multiple people here?
I intend to create a discussion post in the non-RL section of this forum regarding so please participate there.
Because I want to focus this post on those settlements that have or had a distinctive RL feel to them regardless if they are considered cities or not.
I bring this up that while yes that having a cathedral has historically conferred city status to a place and the status of royal charters does so too how does one categorise cities elsewhere especially countries and locations without a royal family or the minimal presence of Christianity?
Hope to hear from you all soon.
York has a big cathedral, a few good amateur clubs, a good pro mens and womens club, and it's got a city wall. York wins.

Unforunately the official book considers many places as cities that have swathes of rural land within their jurisdictions that are regarded as cities. For example Wakefield. Anyways that is a different discussion for another day and forum.
I was being a bit hyperbolic with the exclusion of Bradford and Sheffield as not cities.
Apologies. I get very passionate about this topic of what are and what are not considered cities
I'm sorry Bradford and Sheffield are very clearly major cities, and Salford and Wakefield are most definitely also cities, and i believe that smallish place down south "London" is also a city too, even if IMG think it's smaller than Doncaster.

At what point do KR become the biggest club in Hull? FC are a basket case.

Who's in charge of recruitment? Whoever it is should go. If It's Smith then he 100% should be gone. Not buying this rubbish he's spouting about process and going through this to improve the team. The squad's terrible and nearly got beaten at home by the worst team in SL who are getting pumped by everyone.

It's a beautiful stadium, but 18k capacity is too big for just about every single RL club in the country, never mind a tier 3 club with crowds in the 100s. Good luck to them, i really hope it works out but without huge investment in the playing side I'm unsure what it will achieve. Butts Park was just about perfect for an ambitious tier 3 club, shame they couldn't stay there.

As much as I'd like to be in Vegas watching RL am I the only one completely unexcited by this? It's no different to playing it in Sydney or Brisbane, i can't believe there'll be any lasting legacy from it, the American sports and entertainment market is massive and this won't create even a small ripple.

The proximity to Clapham is a big advantage for London, loads of young Aussie lads in the south stand on Friday. Typical terrible drunken Aussie "banter" aside it was good to have so many there.
