Sure as hell beats signing on in St Helens for 65 quid a week.
Probably safer too.

I don't think they were actually real...
So they would have us believe!!!

It's quite amazing really, in just how many different ways a tree can find to try and kill you.
Indeed, Lord of the Rings was a real revelation.....

Because of those nice Taliban announcing the start of their spring offensive. I have to wear my ballistic kevlar body armour at all times, which isn't very comfy or cool.
Very decent of them to announce in advance that they were about to start being offensive.

After re-fitting the rebuilt motor for me, and fitting the new chain guards and mounting rubbers I'd sourced from Germany, my mate took my 1959 Jawa for an MOT yesterday morning and it passed with no problems.
I've taxed it online, so it's finally back on the road again after almost 5 long years and it's running better than ever. I can't wait to get home and take it out again, as it's a lovely little machine to ride, has some wonderful art deco styling and never fails to put a smile on my face.
I am not a bike person but I do like the look of that.

Welcome to the wonderful world of globalisation. Otherwise known as a bloody fast race to the bottom.
Indeed. The company currently employs around 100,000 people across the globe, but too many in countries that pay salaries that afford a reasonable standard of living. China and India are the way forward apparently, despite us already having serious quality concerns about the work currently being done in India. Management feel they can 'instill a culture change' in the way of working in India.....best of British luck to them....

Out of the blue HR have just arranged a meeting for the whole department for tomorrow morning. Speculation is rife, but with the new site recently opened in China, non of the speculation is very positive.
Time to start updating my CV I suspect
From a site of nearly 1000 people there are over 500 getting the bullet. I am not one of the unlucky ones, but most of us who will be left fear this is only a temporary reprieve. Many good friends will be leaving
Coincidence, recruitment at our new site in China is going really well......apparently....

I have no idea what hydrofracking is but it sounds like it might be painful.
Watch Battlestar Galactica, fracking brilliant series.

Was dining with our Aude correspondent Chez Felix in Carcassonne last Tuesday and spotted that big, former Babylon, bloodgate, Rah Rah, tbh wouldn't argue with him, former England and Leicester number 8, Dean Richards. Good on him, he was coordinating a charity thing in the town centre.
Given the allegiance of Chez Felix, is he thinking of moving over to le treize? Given Carcassonne's recent performances.......
Good to see Deano is making the most of his time away from the game.

It's £133.9 in Duckville, mate.
I hope that is for a very big tank of fuel and not price per litre?

I got a nice email from tesco wine. They were supposed to deliver a case of Rioja a couple of weeks ago but beacuse of the snow they never turned up. I phoned their helpline who told me the wine was at my local store but they were too busy to deliver it and I could collect it if I wished. I reluctantly agreed and they refunded the delivery. I picked the wine up a couple of days ago. This morning I got an email from them apologising for not delivering and refunding the cost of the wine...and the delivery charges again. The refund also covered a

Our new washing machine has arrived....I am not sure whether I should wrap it up and hide it until Christmas or let the wife have it now to use?
