It's amazing stadium but it's an a big car park next to an Asda.

There is a massive population in the surrounding area who could get there and back in a day easily.

If there's a strategy to reach those people then use Stadium MK, if not ... don't.

Not quite! it has it's own car park-with drive thru macdonalds !A hotel attached to stadium, a line of well known national eateries, cinema next to the ground, ikea superstore, Asda! marks and spencers store.

I think I understand. Probably better than you in fact.

I was replying to Death to the Rah Rah's post about the organisers having missed an opportunity by not scheduling games for this tournament in Carlisle.

You were agreeing with him: "This is so true!!" is what you said.

You then went on to suggest that England (host nation) might actually play a game in Carlisle 😆

Instead of criticising my knowledge of "RL history" why not write to the world cup organisers and suggest that England play future matches in Carlisle, due to the excellent train links? Include that "detailed map" you mentioned as well. 😆

    Good luck!!

PS: no. I did not use Google translate. I am sorry if my English is not up to your expectations.

    England weren't in Scotland's group.

Scotland were drawn with Fiji, Italia and the Kangaroos.

I assume you know very little about current RL.

yOU DO not understand- i  wrote about future rfl developments Not this world cup! are you just using google translate!

How many people from Carlisle attend rugby league matches on a regular basis?

You would be relying on the crowd to be composed overwhelmingly from day trippers.

English rugby league fans have shown they wont pay 30 euros for a world cup match ticket on their own doorstep, so why on earth would they get on trains in big numbers to watch a scotland team composed of semi professional players get hammered by Fiji?

They might watch England v scotland

I assume you did not look at the map, and know very little about RL history.

I would pay 30 euros to watch it !!!

They missed a trick by not playing at least two games in Carlisle on a Saturday afternoon

Excellent rail links and close enough to the traditional RL heartlands of West Cumbria as well as just being over the border from Scotland.

Just another missed opportunity to add to the ever growing list of 'how not to run an international event' !

Will anyone take ownership of the competitions failings when it comes to scheduling and location of games or will it be airbrushed like so many

    This IS so true!

The linkage to NW and NE and Scotland can be clearly seen with a detailed map-  pity a person is not appointed now to plan future projects at RFL. -FIRST item in the inbox -internationals and developing  the game in this region.

Ffs save your energy for when we don't sell enough tickets to start with, not this QANon stuff.

There were clearly a few no-shows but since some people first bought tickets for this game it was moved 30 miles and it eventually took place on a day where trains weren't running.

also it was a double header-some might have gone home after the women.s game.

Don't really disagree and I'd like to see more people in the grounds - especially facing the cameras - but we do also need to get money as the sport is looking a bit short of pots to widdle in.

i think a lot of people were refunded a lot of money and have not rebooked yet!

It's perfectly plausible that this match will have generated more profit than any one of the better attended NZ group games from 2013.

Perhaps we should measure gate receipts per game?

or double the price seat worth 2/3 spectators more  than  a discount spectator ?
