  1. I am another one that will now not be attending the game nor will I be able to get a refund for a
  2. At the end of the day we lost. We cannot change that now, nor will the RFL change their mind on that decision. Toulouse out-muscled us and despite some dubious decisions by the referee they were the triumphant team at the end of the day. We did not play as well as we should have done with or without the referees interferance. The referee will call as he sees fit, video or no video. The RFL is constantly assessing the referees and together the refs analyse each others performance, going over the video replays and learning from what they have done right / wrong. If the club feels like it has been the victim of a sub-standard refree then it is upto the club to make a complaint to the RFL. I'm sure if enough of you petition the club they might just say something. It is a learning curve and as a team we need to be sharper, take these hard learnt lessons back to the classroom, prepare well for the next game and move on from it. It's going to be a long and difficult season if we keep getting caught up on the "what ifs."
  3. Have to say I agree with most of the "genuine" posters on here, ie. those not gloating but contributing effectively to the conversation. Rovers didn't play well, they lacked discipline and original thinking. The ref at the time didn't seem overly brilliant but Featherstone gave him the opportunity to blow his whistle and he took advantage of that! If you're going to make mistakes or do something completely stupid (ie, taking a swipe at a player away from play and infront of the touch judge) you're going to give the ball away, it's common sense in this game. Taking drive after drive down the center of the field into Toulouse' big and fast footed forwards is not going to score you tries either. Sorry lads but its true, Rovers lacked leadership and a bit of innovative play. I'm a Rovers supporter and their display was nothing more than disappointing last night. I look forward to seeing the SKY recording.
  4. Fev to win 48-16! Lets see....Sheffield will be unsettled playing on their new field, they will be thrown off by the proximity of the fans and won't be able to focus for noise , the ref will be only looking at one team blah blah blah... Looking forward to the game! I live in Sheff and travel to Fev for our home games, so will I be travelling home or away on Sunday? hhhmm... =D I will also be going on my lonesome as Poppa Tonks isn't in the country, where will everyone be standing / sitting pretty pleases? Robs
  5. To be honest, I'm with Bob on this one. Whilst I agree that something needs to be done about supporting the team I'm not convinced that taking out the back seats of the stand would be the answer to the problem (besdies capacity isn't really a problem ) Call me old fashioned but personally i'm not too interested in having alcohol spilled down my back or having the consistantly misguided shouts of "OFFSIDE" or "WATCH BOTH TEAMS" from certain fans in my ears any more than I already have to. I think the songs idea is great though As for "only the die hards travel" malarky some of us have to work whether we like it or not it does not mean that we care any less than you do thank-you very much.
  6. Oh nooo not Crazy Horses lol that song makes me cringe everytime I hear it =D We should have a song like Melbourne Storm hehe! For any of those that haven't heard this little gem, never fails to make me smile!
  7. To be honest, I think the pirate badge is/ was a very mislead marketing campaign that simply hasn't worked! The badge isn't representative of the clubs history, the name of the club / town, nor is it an image that I think we should be portraying. Afterall, the crest worked for Wigan why can't it work for us? The word "Roven" - if this is the origin of the word "Rover" in Dutch, means to pilage, plunder, rape, violate & steal. Which has then been losely adapted to become to word pirate. Sorry but i'm not interested in the pirate emblem as a representation of a family club that is supposed to be looking to the future. As for being an image that the younger generation can identify with? Hhhmm... not so sure about that one either. The shirts like the ticket prices are bordering on extortion so much for wanting to attract new supporters and to build loyalty, after 2 years abroad for uni the ticket prices have shot up to
