  1. May be an image of 1 person, playing football and text

I took up the offer yesterday and had an hour with Tubbs, and yes he did pay for the coffee!

A good chat, I offered a few observations and suggestions which were listened to.

Mr Sheffield Eagles wants to hear other points of view about the Eagles, from people who care as much as he does.

  2. Sheffield Eagles have been granted the Licence, which includes the current Try Tag Rugby Sheffield Leagues, and will see The Eagles Foundation take over the running of the current Sheffield leagues and the future development of the region after the current Spring Season. As part of this change, the existing Try Tag Rugby Sheffield area will be renamed Try Tag Rugby South Yorkshire.

  3. Wigan 44 Eagles 18

A first for me listening on Wigan Warriors listen live

As a listener it was very disappointing; we, we, we, no interchange information, criticizing the referee when things didn't go their way.

Great effort from the lads, something to build on for the rest of the season.

  5. Sheffield Eagles will travel to Club World Champions Wigan Warriors in the 6th Round of the Betfred Challenge Cup.

The game will be held at at the DW Stadium and it will take place on the weekend of 23rd/24th March.

  6. Sheffield Eagles would like to make spectators aware of some changes to the fan experience at the Olympic Legacy Park Stadium in 2024 ahead of the fixture against Batley on Sunday (3pm kick-off).

Owing to a change in policy which means that the OLP Stadium’s management now restricts our partner Extra Time Sports Bar from setting up more than two hours prior to kick off, and meaning that they must clear the concessions booth of all products and equipment after the match, there will no longer be the provision of hot food or drinks on draft at the game.

    Extra Time will be selling:
    Crisps
    Chocolate
    Sweets
Hot Drinks (Hot Chocolate / Bovril/ Tea / Coffee)
Cold Drinks (7UP / Pepsi Max / Oasis)
Bottled or Canned Lager and Cider

As a club, we are disappointed with the situation and would like to apologise to fans but would like to stress that this is beyond our control and is the decision of the OLP Stadium’s management.

We would like to put on record our thanks to Nathan and the team at Extra Time for their continued support and we will continue to petition the OLP Stadium management to understand the reasons for the change.
  7.

Sheffield Eagles travel to Swinton Lions on Saturday 9th March for the 5th round Challenge Cup game, which will be streamed live on the BBC Red Button, iPlayer and BBC Sport website at 12:30pm.

  8. Sheffield Eagles will host Batley Bulldogs in the Quarter-Final of the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup.
This tie will be played on the weekend of 2nd/3rd March, with match details to be confirmed in due course.
Should we beat the Bulldogs, we’d then take on either York Knights or Oldham away in the Semi-Final. This game would be played on the weekend of 11/12 May.
  9. Over the Christmas break, QLT suffered a heart attack following a training session away from the club. Q has received excellent medical care and we are pleased to say that doctors were able to successfully sort the problem and he is now on the road to recovery. He is as positive and cheeky as ever. The club medical staff will continue to do whatever is required to assist Q at this time.

We are sure all our fans and the Rugby League Community join us in wishing Q a speedy recovery and we looking forward to seeing him back
