  1. Great game yesterday,  end to end game and so good to watch. Yes if Ridyard had played he would have kicked that easy goal kick late on to make it a 26.26 draw which would have been a fair result .  I was surprised your player missed that kick at goal. I thought Lewis Else was the best player on the pitch to be honest with his electrifying pace I won't see a better back I don't think all season. Rochdale have improved a lot from last season and will win a lot more games than lose them.

The club announced at the end of the season that they had averages over 1k per game last season too. Can't for the life of me remember where I saw it. Perhaps a social media post from the club...

Not saying you are wrong tiffers about the Cornwalls home crowds last season, but the crowd certainly looked a lot down when you played my team last season compared to the one before, in which the crowd seemed to be double the 2023 season of home supporters.

It was good enough in 1995 😜

That's true Spidey . In fact, my team got a promotion to the Championship, or Division 2 as it was called then from the third tier to the second , only to be told we were having the season after just one league below the top league so it's the same thing happening now.

Does anybody know or is it just speculation?

Sadly, with Tyrer at 7 I feel we don't have a chance at Hunslet who appear to be going all out for second spot with their recent signings. Just curious how many are from Leeds?

No new signings from Leeds Jroyales . They are from Bradford, Halifax, and Batley all on loan. Although Campbell the winger from Batley has had an injury and has not played as late, shame as he's a powerful fast winger .

  6. You got a great signing in Duane Straugheir and a nice person too. I thought he had retired from playing, that's what I heard as he has been so unlucky with injuries this year , but glad for him to keep going , wish it was still with playing for Hunslet, but it's our loss and your gain. Always gives 100 % effort just hope he can remain injury free for you.

They must be spending some brass, then. Adam Ryder just signed from Dewsbury on a 2 year deal.

Rangi was down at Hunslet's last home game to watch us.I heard we were close to signing him. Lets be honest Johnny Hunslet's not spent any money hardly this last 3 to 4 years and it showed on the pitch in our results, so they this year hopefully we are going for it especially when promotion matters even more now.

well Morrissey is on tour in the Uk at the moment - i went to see him last week in fact - could have picked him

Bet that was good. Yes they should have picked him to play would  be better than boring football mad Kaiser Chiefs supporting the opening game. Still could do the usual RL supporters thing and get in 5 mins before kick off.

Shame there had to be a loser today. Your defence was awesome for the full 80 minutes.

Can I wish you all at Hunslet a good break and a better season next year.

Thankyou , it was a pretty good game , usually is at your place. And good luck at Rochdale in the next round.

I don't know. I'm not the one suggesting that the sport should just support what it's got. To turn it around if it's so wonderful why do some appear to think that it is impossible for people outside its heartlands to want to participate in and enjoy it?

Maybe they just don't get it , obviously we do, reminds me a bit like Crown Green Bowls in that sense not enough people play that these days and they don't get that either unless they give it a go then they seem to love it.

Has anyone ever read any good books on ufo sightings and alien encounters and that sort of thing?

Yes me , the best book I think you should read is Communion by Whitley Streiber, based on a true story of his abduction, they made a film of this book it was not very good film but the book is an excellent read , I read this years ago having got it from my local library. The book was first published in 1987 and there is a follow up to it called Transformation and that was a great read too.
