Sorry, its a poorly worded post.
I meant why so many walkovers?
-
I have noticed there seems to be alot of 24 - 0 results in the YML.
The premier div has had more than usual.
Why do we think that is?
-
Shame always seemed a good club
-
I've watched a few games, they all had full benches of subs.
Not sure if they are considered strongest 17 but had good numbers watching aswell.
-
Just curious has to what sort of percentage gets passed on to charities?
I see afew shirts being in made in different charities names and often wondered what they get?
-
I've seen tollbar afew times, they are a good side.
I think they will probably win that cup now and possibly the league.
-
I saw the 2nd half.
Good game really enjoyed it

Just keep trying to cash in.
Would rather have quality than quantity personally.
-
I maybe wrong but wasn't part of the reason the registration fee was introduced was because Sport England had withdrawn their funding?
RFL announced they have received just shy of 12 million pound from Sport England this week.
-
Already better than sky coverage.
Good work c4
-
I thought lock lane was outstanding and deserved the win and plaudits they received

Great game.
Well done lock lane

How do certain teams keep getting away with it?
This behaviour has been going on for years!

Is there only one game streaming this year?
-
Do we know which games might be streamed?
-
I think they were called scunthorpe barbarians.
Could be wrong.

It has been mentioned and I am sure Ref's can be influenced, its only human nature and its one of the reasons I tell my players to be nice to the refferees and also try to be as welcoming as I can myself towards them. At the end of the day if you have a group of people screaming abuse at you compared to a group that are been nice, in the heat of the moment who is the more likely to get those 50/50 calls? Also its not a good rep for a team to have when a ref does not want to ref certain teams.
Not always true I'm afraid.
I always tried to have a bit of banter with the refs in RL and got on with most, RU refs didn't seem as open to having a joke with or sometimes wouldn't even talk.
But my point is I played at some intimidating often hostile grounds and even hostile away crowds at our home games, the ref was certainly influenced and didn't like to give decisions against them teams.
On one occasion while playing away the opposition player dropped the ball, to which the ref picked it up gave it him back and said just play the ball!!!

They are not trying to grow the game
They are looking for a return on an inveatment
To get a return on their investment they will have to commercially grow the game.
At the minute there is no return for their investment so they must have a commercially backed plan to get the game to the wider audience
-
Any investment and someone trying to commercially grow they game has to be good.
Just a shame it will be same inadequate people at the very top

More seriously if I were them I would be on to the RFL to try and wangle an invite into the CC.
Their recent playing record would justify it and the YML have spots open to them.......
Surely every team from the YML would want to play in the challenge cup if it was just a case of asking to go in.
-
Maybe if rfl was run better at the top by people who can bring good money in commercially and realy promote the game then we wouldnt need to hit the grassroots players in their pocket.

This could see players not register n not bother playing,
It might only be a small amount to some people but its the rfl hitting the same people all the time.
Players n familys are already paying to play and supporting clubs with subs, signing on fees attending games etc now the rfl want to get in on the action and hit the same pots, well it wont be long till them pots dry up and say up yours!!
