No. We know Wakefield provisonally going on what has been said should be comfortably in so that leaves Toulouse who could be somewhere near and although points for winning the competition are tiny, those extra points could see them sneak in there. The only other team on paper anywhere near is Bradford but there seems to be a lot of talk that they are near to their ceiling and their points could reduce rather than improve when it comes to the official rankings. 13 points is likley to be the lowest amount that will get you in and could be a touch higher so York would have to make up 3 points and doing that in the Championship is going to be very hard to do.

Be interesting to see where you think Bulls will lose points from?

There's plenty to be despondent about in the state of the game, from the declining TV revenues to the state of the international calendar.

However, in spite of this, there are some really positive developments across the whole of the English/French game:

    • Wigan - new ownership, greater collaboration with the football team, development and commercialisation of Robin Park
    • Hull KR - impressive BoD, development of Craven Streat, ownership and future development of surrounding land
    • Leeds - largest sponsorship deal ever signed
    • Oldham - new ownership group, new £1m training facility asset which can be commercialised and return to Boundary Park
    • Wakefield - new ownership and further stadium development plans
    • Castleford - new investor and stadium development plans gaining traction
    • Cornwall - tie up with Truro and move to new stadium
    • Midlands - move to the new Alexander stadium
    • Sheffield - investment and proposed move into new stadium with Sheffield FC
    • Toulouse - new investor and plans for new purpose built stadium
    • Catalan - stadium expansion and development plans
    • Huddersfield - new training complex complete
    • Keighley - stadium development
    • Warrington - perhaps 2024 will be their year

    ● Bradford. 2 new investors in the last 12 Months. Recently awarded an Elite Academy license. 5 new sponsors on board. Only part time club to have a Team at every level. Making the transition to FT easier. Attendances on the rise.

I agree Dave. Of all the challenges international Rugby League has @BristolDevonCharlie, “neutral” referees is one of the least we should be concerned about or prioritising. In any case, it probably should be discussed to the length it has here, on a “neutral referee” thread.

As for Samoa touring. I am a little torn on the idea. The selfish part of me wants them here to play in a four nation Pacific event. The softer part of me knows how important regular good opposition for England is for the international game. What I don’t get is why are England so bothered about hosting another ###### poor three game series? Surely they would have been better off touring down here and joining a Pacific series.

Because we should all rest assured, we will be damning the RFL again in November 2024 for the same things they were damned for in 2023. Poor crowds, poor ticketing, poor scheduling, poor match day experience. The RFL are a poor organisation for which we have come to expect poor results from.

If England didn't host a series in 2024. It would mean 4 years without any games in England as NZ next due over on 2027

You can't go that long without letting English fans see a game of International RL.

In Bullseye-style "here's what you could have won", this is the team that has LEFT Fev since last year 😬  Fev currently down to 16.
    1 Mark Kheirallah
    2 Luke Briscoe
    3 Joey Leilua
    4 Chris Hankinson
    5 Craig Hall
    6 Johnno Ford
    7 Dane Chisholm
    8 James Lockwood
    9 Matty Wildie
    10 Junior Moors
    11 John Davies
    12 Elijah Taylor
    13 Matthieu Cozza
    subs
    14 Craig Kopczak
    15 Dan Smith
    16 Ellis Longstaff
    17 Arama Hau
    reserves Luke Cooper, Tyla Hepi

    Some big losses for Fev.

Looks like you will be relying on Hull KR massively throughout the season which has its own risks.

Starting 13 looks good but not much after that.

As did Bradford in 2017 following their financial woes at the end of the 2016 season.

When we should of rightly got relegated to League 1 as new club formed. but the other Championship clubs/RFL wanted us in Championship with minus 12 points resulting in relegation anyways.

It appears that he has listed a charge against land at Featherstone so has lent the club money.

Anyone heard if this is part of a takeover?

Chris Brereton was co-owner of Wakefield and had links with the Bulls in 2019.

Not if we waste money like we did this year.............and definitely not while grading is in place.

IMO Toulouse, Wakefield and Bradford* are the only teams with a chance of getting in SL during the Grading era.

*Bradford appear to get extra points because the RFL own their stadium and want SL crowds in it.

We got 0.89 on the Stadium one of the lowest scores. I guess you missed where RFL are selling the lease too .

I wasn't having a go ,it was tounge  in cheek - we might need em and it will get worse for a lot of teams sadly. But so long as SL is ok  it doesn't matter.

    Fair enough apologies

I see others think I couldn't wait to post this on the Fev page.

I feel for Fev fans as us Bulls fans are used to the feeling of not knowing what the future holds.

The battle for the playoffs was/is looking exciting next season, without Fev challenging it makes the league worse.
