I thought I'd take a look at this stream this evening, and flicked through it just now taking in a minute or so then skipping forward 5 or 10 minutes.

How reassuring to skip to a random point and be immediately greeted by a shout from the sidelines of "off-side, all off-side". How fantastically rugby league in suburban Belgrade.

It made me laugh anyway 🤣

But how great is it. ? They've been battering away at each other in Serbia for 20 years playing community rugby league, and over the past decade they've built on what they've got and promoted expansion to other neighboring countries. Its just amazing to see.

    Is that the rumour?

    It is now 🙂

I heard it as wild speculation a few weeks back now the raiders haveva large hole there next year. He's so good the nrl clubs must be sniffing around. In less troubled times I suspect there would be wild speculation he'd be going to union! Thank god that door's closed.

Is that the same Ryan Hall who scored a hat trick over the weekend and still makes very few handling errors?..... while Young tends to make multiple handling errors each game.

Now Hall has probably retired from England i would still have Young in the squad behind Makemson and Johnson- both of who are top class and alongside someone like Marshall.  Hope the lad keeps improving.

Amazing. I mean there is positive bias for, or against, the super league and NRL, which is perfectly reasonable and open for debate. Then there is this level of hatred against anyone who doesn't  play in super league. Part of the reason we are so sH1+.

Why are people mocking BSL? Sure it is an amateur grassroots competition....

I think that is the very reason they should be praised. They've been turning over a steady community comp for a couple of decades now. Where else in the world could claim that?

I just don't get Stuart's thinking behind having Whitehead at 13.  Yes, he wants Hudson Young and Corey Harawira-Naera in the side but Whitehead for me is not a middle forward.  I am a big fan of his but his contribution in the middle is not where it needs to be and this puts extra pressure on the props.  Whitehead is good with the ball in his hands but so are Yeo, Murray and Radley and they also offer more running as well... Whitehead is just not doing this.

Will he get better, maybe.  But I really think the Raiders would be a better outfit with Sutton at 13 and Whitehead back on the edge.

I think it is the current fascination with having a ball playing 13. I'm still confused about this. Surely there have always been loads of 13s with great hands, and lots that are more about bashing it up the middle. Ball playing 13s are not a ne thing (although maybe they were out of fashion for 5, 10 years) But the oz media seems fixated with the idea that every team now needs a 13 that can act as a half back, so maybe the raiders have been spooked into putting Whitehead there?

Do you remember when they put him at 7 a few years ago for a match? He was dreadful. I'm with you; he's a class second row and always has been. Leave him there.

But the rest of the UK didn't class Sutton as a top player - maybe Wigan fans are bias towards their own players 🤔

Hodgson never played for a top SL club - why was that? - in a league where Roby was king just about every year and Clarke was MOS and the hottest name in SL, no one really talked about Hodgson - i would have put Houghton above Hodgson when he played SL - still would today.

Each to their own mate - just an opinion based on loose facts stated above.

Hodgson became the player he was in the NRL. Maybe SL fans are bias towards their own league.

The Torquay Athletic RU ground is right on the seafront. It's a much nicer location than Plainmoor, where Torquay United FC set up home (to be near the town's working class residents) after quitting what became the RU ground.

The ground in Penzance is even nicer! And, in Cornwall perspective, a lot nearer.

Just seen on FB that Worcester are holding trials for players to go on semi pro contracts 🙄

Yep. Saw that a while back and keeping quiet. Wanted to raise here but scared what people would say. What division are they in? No one seems to know. I posted a bit if a blind "are they starting a super league south" on another post but I'm sure that isnt what's going on.  Not convinced there is a plan... Worried.

So, now you've raised the semi pro post theyve put out there (with no indication of  what league they'll be playing in for Jaguars hierarchy...)

...thoughts? Does anyone know their plan? What's happening with Bristol and All Golds (and Bath?) next season too?
