Great to see so was the Mayfield v Watershed game played on a different day to the Oldham v Rochdale game ?

Yes. Mayfield V Waterhead was the Oldham Standard cup final played on Saturday. It's always pretty well attended. If it was Waterhead Vs another Oldham club in the final on Saturday then the attendance would have been even higher.

    Roughyeds V Rochdale was Sunday.

Possible Yard dog but better to re park at the Stadium.

    Thanks.

Ended up eating at the Trafford Centre and then driving towards the ground and and parked at the Barley Farm pub opposite. Not sure if it is allowed (might have some sort of parking restrictions on for Super League games?) but no problems yesterday and very handy being just a couple of minutes walk from the ground.

Beautiful evening weather wise and a very open (ha ha) and entertaining game with a good atmosphere created by the Salford fans in the East Stand where we sat.

  3. Today was a great day but no mistake that was a shambles.

The look on the faces of Kevin Sinfield and Clare Balding said it all.

The disastrous opening definitely seemed to contribute to a flat atmosphere in the 1st half.

Well done to the team though for putting on such a performance that it was largely forgotten

Ok Manchester maybe, but lets be real our options over the past 20 years have been Greater Manchester, or "traditional Lancashire" rather than Old Trafford or tge Etihad, and we've still had our best attendances in Leeds and London

    Manchester is traditional Lancashire

    And?

elland rd is a dump. Headingley, Huddersfield and hull are too small.

Just that it would be a shame for a test match not to played at either Old Trafford (biggest stadium in the North) or Elland Rd which a dump it maybe but Leeds is a major heartland of the game.

Like I said, a test match in Newcastle would be great and should be considered but the only shame would be that Manchester or Leeds misses out
