  1. Yes. Mayfield V Waterhead was the Oldham Standard cup final played on Saturday. It's always pretty well attended. If it was Waterhead Vs another Oldham club in the final on Saturday then the attendance would have been even higher. Roughyeds V Rochdale was Sunday.
  2. Hate to focus on the negative but totally agree with this. Pitch looks in poor condition and football markings makes this look a bit tinpot. You wouldn't even see the football markings this prominent at boundary park watching Oldham Roughyeds
  3. Thanks. Ended up eating at the Trafford Centre and then driving towards the ground and and parked at the Barley Farm pub opposite. Not sure if it is allowed (might have some sort of parking restrictions on for Super League games?) but no problems yesterday and very handy being just a couple of minutes walk from the ground. Beautiful evening weather wise and a very open (ha ha) and entertaining game with a good atmosphere created by the Salford fans in the East Stand where we sat.
  4. Going to the AJ Bell tonight for the first time. Taking advantage of the kid for a quid offer. Will be going by car. Where is the best place to park? Was thinking about getting something to eat nearby - maybe Trafford Centre. Is it easy enough park at the Trafford Centre and walk over to the stadium? Thanks in advance.
  5. Today was a great day but no mistake that was a shambles. The look on the faces of Kevin Sinfield and Clare Balding said it all. The disastrous opening definitely seemed to contribute to a flat atmosphere in the 1st half. Well done to the team though for putting on such a performance that it was largely forgotten
  6. Manchester is traditional Lancashire
  7. Just that it would be a shame for a test match not to played at either Old Trafford (biggest stadium in the North) or Elland Rd which a dump it maybe but Leeds is a major heartland of the game. Like I said, a test match in Newcastle would be great and should be considered but the only shame would be that Manchester or Leeds misses out
  8. A test series game in Newcastle would be great but only downside is that it would probably have to be at the expense of a game in either Manchester or Leeds (given that one of the 3 games in a test series is probably going to have be in London)
  9. Kelvin Fletcher is his name and he played at Oldham St Annes as a kid. He brought one of the Burgess brothers to a St Annes junior training session a few years ago.
