One of those companies is his own consultancy.

This delicious thing about all this ridiculousness is that from 2027 he won't be able to hide where his income comes from - changes to company law mean that all companies will have to file profit and loss accounts, making it more straightforward to see where money goes and comes from...

But by then he will have achieved his objective. 🤬

  2. Regarding best and worst grounds. Best....Thrum Hall apart, i used to love coming over the moors to The Watersheddings. I remember lines of Fax cars and coaches snaking over the tops and us calling in at Denshaw for a pint or five, then parking up at Moorside and after a jar there walking down to the social club at the ground. Into the ground and a proper old stadium much like Thrum Hall but with the addition of that double decker stand. Great memories❗

    Worst....Odsal.

As for Sunday's game i haven't a clue what team Kyle Eastmond will pick so no idea as to the result.

This feels less like an attempt at sincere discussion than an irate response to an opinion you don't care for, but to answer the question: in recent months, I preferred Wakefield Westgate ➡️ Belle Vue and Batley ➡️ Mount Pleasant, but did not prefer Paragon ➡️ Craven Park. Shame Goodramgate ➡️ Bootham Crescent doesn't exist anymore.

Try Halifax Town centre ➡️ The Shay via Union Street, delightful❗🤭

Proper rl ground is dewsbury. Makes me wonder though if dewsbury were good enough to get into sl would the ground be considered good enough. If the answer to that is no then Huddersfield shouldn’t be allowed to use it

Dewsbury's ground is better than Castleford or Wakefield's.

From a Fax point of view if they were to swap with Huddersfield there is a very good chance they would have had most of that talent that you mention plus so many more talented players that went on to become stars of the game. Now I am not saying it would certainly happen, but given the talent that the area produces which must be up there in the top 2 or 3 of any area that the game covers, there is a chance.

    Spot on❗

My over-riding thought when this story first broke was that it was a piece of brinksmanship by Davy to coerce Kirklees Council into supporting his "New Giants stadium" project. If not directly through financial support, at least through favourable land and planning agreements. Councils and local politicians tend to get nervous about not being seen to support local sports clubs.

Whether that strategy needed to go quite as far as this, I'm not sure but if it is a threat, it is something that he seems willing to follow through with.

    💯%! 👍

Because enough people don’t seem to want to support the Giants in Huddersfield and so an eventual merger in a few years after their few fans have got used to the commute might make sense?

    Don't be silly! 🤭

You're wrong 😄 - Bulls played Fev and Keighley before Leeds that year

I mean the club have done some stupid things in the past so I wouldn't put it past them - but what on earth did the leaflets say given both the competitors and venue were yet to be confirmed at the time of printing...?

Can't remember now. But it was something akin to them being in the semi final and preparing for it. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😅
