I was looking at the route to take the motorhome down there. I think I'd take three days going from Dieppe. I've got a feeling that we might swamp the pub we used last time (was it called The Hole in the Wall?)

It would be great if it was a Saturday then maybe The Canaries of Carcassone play on the Sunday with a few Yeds there too.

Keeping fingers crossed as two of the offspring are getting married next summer.

As Kev might sing "Debout pour les Roughyeds"

    Or

    Donnez nous un s

    Donnez nous un e

    Donnez nous un i

    Donnez nous un n

    Donnez nous un s

    Que fais-tu avec eux?

    OLDHAM, OLDHAM, OLDHAM

    I just googled S E I N S in French , I should have guessed 🤣

    Didn't rate Fairbrother anyway!!!!!!

Get to my age and thankfully I only made two mistakes and thanks for correcting me.

Obviously, I meant PLT and Chapelhow a "fairbrother" of the other one.

Still see a win by 24.

    For a minute I thought we'd re-signed Fieldhouse 🙂

Think I would prefer to see Craven given another week so he is fully fit to face Keighley. Be interesting to see who makes the starting line up on Sunday.

Agreed, would seem daft to bring him back too quick against these.

  4. Great to see Steve Molloy , Lucas Onyango & Valu Bentley at BP yesterday collecting their Heritage Certificates. As great as things are looking now (yesterday was thumping good !) its good to see those who wore the red & white proudly in the past being remembered too. Up the Yeds!

PLT, Mo, O 'Keefe, Johnson/Morgan, Tyrer, Craven, Astley, Kopzcak, Wildie, Farnworth, Gallagher, Taylor, J Chapelhow. subs: Paga, T Chapelhow, Hirst, Moran.

We're definitely light at centre and back row with our injuries but I think this looks a much better balanced team than last weeks.

I'd be surprised if he leaves Ellis out - Astley on the bench for me.

Can't fault the result Keighley out thought and mixed things up quite a lot. There has to be some reference to the whistle blower. I felt throughout the game he was out of his depth and was unable to keep up with the game - the last Keighley was laughably off side. He gave 7 penalties to Oldham's 3 and three of his "penalties" led to tries. His he bothered, no, because nothing will be done about him.

Nevertheless, the best side won on the day. Can't wait for the replays.

    Come on The Midlands!

Mate, you really do have to stop blaming referees! It's tiresome. We were outplayed on the day as you correctly stated. My view is that Keighley out-enthused us, probably because a win was essential for them, otherwise we'd have had one foot in the Championship before May was out. Now, it will be a fight to the death and I am confident we will beat them at BP in the next game in July. That will be a fixture not to miss!

Back to the penalties conceded, that's our lack of discipline, not the referee's fault.

  7. We should definitely not underestimate this mob in their own backyard. From their 21 man squad most of their big guns appear to be there. They pushed Bradford Bulls very close in the 1895 Cup and will be highly motivated. The loss to Hunslet was a blip.

We need to match them in the desire stakes or it could be a giant banana skin. Having said that, I'm sure we will.

    COME ON OLDHAM.

With you lot playing keighley three times I think we need you to beat them three times which pretty much determines the order.

Don't forget we'll have beaten you twice as well 🙂

Spiritual home Boundary Park? Come on….the Spirit of Oldham rugby was at the iconic Watersheddings. Boundary Park was a homeless shelter.

My thoughts exactly - clearly written by a young journo who probably doesn't even know 'Sheddings existed !

However, whilst our spiritual home is our past, BP is definitely going to be a part of our exciting future.

    100% agree with this post.

Its clearly a team effort from BOD to Matt, All Hornets, the staff, players and supporters.

No boom or bust approach which we are seeing elsewhere and always only every ends up one way, but plenty steps forward being taken and its pleasing to see 👏

    Elsewhere?
