And a stream train going past making a smog over the pitch and the ref calling it off, with minutes to play and losing the final reply.Â
Oh yes that's already happenedÂ
Or a try awarded against us when the guy's over the deadball line or one of ours disallowed because our wingers offside (not)

How about a 4-4 lockdown in a mudbath , replay at BP! Or would it be golden point? Could be playing till midnight if so !
-
How I love the optimism, I'll go 4-4 and a replay at fortress BP!

I just went into X and I couldn't find the account this was on. Is it possible this is a fake account? I just cannot imagine Mr H going public with such stuff?

Have we signed players from Oldham because they consider that they have better prospects at Rochdale or were they discarded by Oldham?
You've signed some good lads from us. They might not necessarily have fitted in to the new regime's plans for this year at Oldham, but they'll all do good jobs for you.Â

All through the close season my League Express has arrived early on a Monday morning. Not via the Post Office as it's not in an envelope, just the paper through the day just like the paperboy used to do in the old days. This week, when I'm so looking forward to reading about our fantastic result yesterday there is no paper.Â
Anyway, for those that know us, we will be back to watch the boys. We've had a few bad years looking after Dad with his Alzheimers and dementia. He passed away in July which, to be honest, was a relief not least to him. Anyway Sue had her birthday on New Year's Eve then, on the Wednesday following, she slipped in the garden and broke her left tibia. She can't even try to put her foot down for another few weeks let alone put any weight on it.
Quick question for when we do come back; are we going to be able to park the motorhome at BP? Just sometimes it would be nice to make a weekend of it rather than the five hour round trip in a day.
Here's one of me, literally, flying the flag during the World Cup
Chris, All the very best to you and Sue, will be great to see you back at the rugby soon. Take care mate .

For anyone thinking this will be easy, a touch of realism is required. Halifax are the holders & won't give it up lightly. They are a very good side with classy backs especially. If we do happen to win, it will be massive in every way, in terms of building the public interest even more, not to mention being a step on the road to the Holy Grail that is Wembley.Â

RIP Sir.

Mick Worrall deserves a mention here, as do Ray Ashton & Paddy Kirwan. Great players in a very different era for the game. In the CH era, my favourites were John Hough, Keith Brennan, Danny Langtree, Lewis Palfrey, Richard Lepori, Lucas Onyango & Neil Roden.

You seriously think you'll beat us 3 times out of 4 - we shall see

There's nothing more appealing than a winning team! Hopefully that's what we will have. Trouble is fans are fickle. One loss or a draw or even a close win and the the doom mongers will be out!!

See the link here:-Â https://roughyeds.co.uk/2023/11/2024-season-ticket-prices-revealed/
Lots of options as Mr Quinn says, I can vouch that the hospitality is superb for anyone fancying one of the packages inc. that.Â
Good savings across the year. Lots to look forward to. Come on Oldham!

Bit of a shame the the roughyheads meeting took place in front of an Oldham Pathetic logo.
Â
Apologies for my fatty fingers typing…possibly a typo or two in there.
Relations between Oldham Rugby & Latics have never been better & I'm sure that was requested by Latics, for their benefit. Being as we are now playing at Boundary Park & using their excellent facilities for events such as this, I'm sure no-one from the rugby was going to argue.

Correct me Andy if I'm wrong, but has anyone from the Oldham club gone public saying they aim to go undefeated in League One next year? Or is that just terrace talk?Â
-
They've just announced Riddy as well.

Gutted to be losing Wilko, especially to the hairnets. You’ve got the best 9 in the comp and should be playing in the champ to be honest, no idea why we didn’t keep him on our books looks like a fall out with FordÂ
Mate, you have no idea whether he fell out with Ford or not! Rugby is all about opinions, perhaps Ford thought he wasn't good enough for the new squad hes developed.

That’s the best idea I’ve heard so far tbh. Keeps league one going and fev bulls etc visiting will fill their coffers too, better than reserve sides or conferences.Â
Not unlike the old Northern Rail Cup?

Anita, at first glance, I read that as the 58th of June, 1988. I thought 'she's' finally lost the plot !!!
