Don't know I'm there for the rugby  but if people want to go on and on about vaping, start another thread because i thought this was Oldham and Cornwall 😡😡🏉

You are right, I apologise. I took offence at being labelled a ‘scruff’ because I vape by a fellow supporter. There was simply no need for name calling, we are all adults and are entitled to our opinions whether they be right or wrong.

sorry to all again for the rant. I will speak no more on the subject.

This is from the rules of entry to BPof, and I think it applies to when we play,  things not allowed :

    7.1.1 smoking inside the stadium (including, for the avoidance of doubt, the smoking of electronic cigarettes and any other vapour omitting substitutes);

However, there is rule about not drinking alcohol within sight of the game, yet we're allowed to drink beer. So you may need to seek clarification from officials.

Thanks for pointing this out but I assure you when I asked for a plastic glass to empty the contents of my bottled beer I also asked if it was ok to vape and I was told yes.

just because I vape does not make me a ‘scruff’. I dread to think what certain people make of me now they know I drink ad well!

is it ok to swear in the ground?

No mate if you think its acceptable blowing the contents of your gob around in a seated no smoking stadium youre a scruff. A selfish one at that.

If you think vaping is smoking then you need to do some research. Also I can confirm what I blow out of my ‘gob’ smells a damn site nicer than the sh*t that comes out of yours.

    I agree.

Some of the comments on here pre match were just disrespectful. Cornwall had a dig.

Not a great match by any means but a few positives.

I thought PLT was great,as,was Tyrer . Gallacher very promising.

    Negatives.

Our right side defence through the centres is a concern.

The music played during the game(just my opinion, others might not agree)

Also the scruffs that think its ok to vape in their seats! Awful!

I agree with the majority of your comments but take exception to being called a ‘scruff’.

you have every right to your opinion but sometimes a little more thought should go into the way you express them.

up the Yeds, from your number 1 Scruff👍

  5. Yeah reading this thread it is a little upsetting that loyalty and hard work have not been rewarded by the new board. Things like this take the shine off everything for me, I hope for Dave’s sake it’s an oversight that its soon rectified.

Paga should not be seen as first choice anywhere. Trys hard but hyped up . Not the only one .

I believe Paga has the makings of an excellent player and time will prove me right. Give the lad a chance.

  7. I’ve heard on good authority that the greatest ARL head coach of all time Wayne Bennett is moving to Oldham and opening a dairy farm on Lees New Road!

He plans to work the dairy farm on a part time basis freeing the rest of his time up to coach the Roughyeds.

The sky is the limit! COME ON OLDHAM👍

    Soooooo.

I wrote a post a few days ago saying we might make the play-offs.  I suppose you're including me in the delusional supporters and media staff group.

So let's look at the facts you want us to face.

Oldham v Skolars.  With home advantage you'd surely say we'd win.

Oldham away at Cornwall.  Again, surely a winnable game by a decent margin.

That puts us on 15 points.

Hunslet, currently on 17 points have to play Swinton, Keighley and Doncaster.  It's not unreasonable to think they'll lose them all.  Doncaster is the one most likely to upset the theory.  Anyway, if things go to plan, they come to Whitebank on the last day of the season with a diminished points advantage.  If we beat them, and the points difference is right, Oldham are in the play-offs.

That's not delusional, it's reasonable deduction.

I'm a man who likes a flutter.  I'd put money on Oldham finishing sixth if the odds were OK.

It might not all work out but nobody gets rich backing favourites.

I fully agree from a gambling perspective but If we made the playoffs what is your prediction on how it would unfold? I dare say if you back the long shots you’d shove a £10 on us going up

  9. I am so sick of hearing that we may still hit the playoffs by the delusional supporters and media staff at Oldham. Why can’t people see reality and accept we are simply not good enough.
We do not have the skills, determination or heart to compete with the majority of teams in league 2.

Please face facts and accept this instead of hoping we somehow make it only to be hammered at the first attempt.

  10. Who writes the match report? They deserve a medal for positivity. There is no way we should be given reports stating the second half was a much better performance than the first. We all need to face facts and read reports about the truth, we are not competing in this league, we are not good enough and the way we are going, never will be. Don’t give me ###### about grass roots and woman's teams etc. the owner, the coach and the players should be held accountable and speak to the minuscule number of supporters that remain. It’s a complete shambles.
