  1. Yei, recently left us and we said the powerful forward would be having some time away from the sport to focus on his rehabilitation after a spell of frustrating injuries. But less than a month on, he is now thought to be in talks with the Roughyeds regarding a move to the club. The forward appears set to reinforce the Oldham pack in the coming weeks.

So all that tells me is when he left us Longy   held talks with him to see what was going on and why wouldn't he hold talks he knows what he can do for oldham in div one but because it says in coming weeks I would have thought he was still in rehab and signing on depends on how well that goes

.I'm assuming Hull KR won't want to reward Broadbent for signing what is effectively a 4-year deal by asking him to play in the Championship at Whitehaven a few days later. .

Broadbent in robins squad for wigan game but looking at reports Jack joined the club from Castleford Tigers on a season-long loan so by my reckoning he's still a C^$ player  so I would have thought Robins can't send him to us on DR

They want him as a long-term, versatile option for their backs. I'm sure that he'll play plenty of games for them but it might depend on injuries and suspension. With Hiku, Evalds, Burgess, Opacic, Gildart and Hall all fighting for a place in positions 1 to 5, he's not going to be guaranteed a starting place.

That's al true PH but my point is Willie Peters said  I’ve watched Jack a lot over the last couple of years so if he's not getting game time why is it better to keep watching him in the championship rather than SL Having said that now he's at the Robins   Jack Broadbent Fullback. Centre, Winger and Standoff would be my first choice for DR and it will be interesting to see if he's made available

Seriously though, it will be interesting to see if Broadbent is made available on DR (assuming he doesn't get into the HKR squad),

Apparently the robins have big plans for broadbent after this loan he's got  a three-year deal with Hull KR from 2025, keeping him at Sewell Group Craven Park until the end of the 2027.and Willie Peters spoke of his excitement to have Jack join the club for 2024 and beyond: ‘Jack’s a talented player with his best years still ahead of him. I’ve watched Jack a lot over the last couple of years and he’s certainly a player who can play many positions with real quality which definitely appeals to us. We look forward to developing Jack into the player we believe he can be,

So  I cant see the point of sending him out to play in the championship when he could have stayed in SL with C *$ and signed for the Robins  at end of season

I see that kids are going free. I would have thought at coming up 90 and following Rovers since 1938 and made a lot of contribution I would get a discount or a free ticket. I have bought my season ticket and will continue to support. But lets have a bit of thought for older supporters.

To be fair though Colin although still valued members of THE BLUE WALL us oldies are not the future of the club they need to be targeting the babies and hope they will still be coming like you when they get to ninety but having said that if you get to be a concession every year on your birthday they could give you a voucher to spend at the shop or a pre-match meal for two to thank you for years of undying LOVE

And I thought with mikalauskas my weekend couldn't get any worse I was wrong my other Team Liverpool play in the derby on sunday and they have a certain Mr Coote on VAR in the past on VAR he didn't award a penalty and a sending off when Pickford wiped out Virgil van Dijk  and this season he's got better disallowed goal at spurs recommended Mcallister being sent off which was later overturned and more recently turned down penalty claims against Arsenal and city but having said all that I'm sure Aequitas the roman god of fairness is looking down on me to ease my suffering from incompetent officials if not BRING IT ON  two wins for me:kolobok_yahoo:

Mentioning P.P. there Andy, I saw a guy on the Fev. forum reckons he's been playing rugby union during the winter and he's so fit now he played the full 80 minutes against the Eagles a week gone Sunday and got m.o.m.! Is this true?

That was from a donny fan now he may be fitter than last year but from what I saw on sunday he still cant break a tackle and bend his back to defend

I wasn't sorry when he went, but we could do with him now.

I didn't watch the Widnes v Fax game so I'll bow to your knowledge on that. It looked an impressive result on paper, and they're 100% so far. Hopefully we'll stuff em though, eh?

True M bit they were losing to at half time 14-4 to a Panthers side who according our friend  BO

Couldn't name a 21 man squad and 3 players named in the 20 man squad we already knew were not playing and that pointless game against Hammersmith where we lost 3 of our best players for the season wrecked the season before it started and it seems our new board either don't have the resources or are totally oblivious to the fact we look a bit of a shambles. Been in the relegation mix I don't think is out of the question.

I meant bizarre regarding his total lack of experience in the administration side of running a club, especially the size of Hull. And to give him full responsibility for recruiting players and coaching staff is very strange if true.

It's definitely true G but you know what they say MONEY talks and don't forget what happened 16th May 2023

Featherstone Rovers have today appointed James Ford to a newly created Director of Rugby role at Featherstone Rovers

    A very bizarre appointment.

    Yes and No G

His new Dad in Law is Leeds whinos president Andrew Thirkill  who was named as Yorkshire's 42nd wealthiest businessman, with an estimated wealth of £180 million. and is rumoured to be one of the three new potential investors at Hull Funny thing about rumours Thirkill was rumoured to be investing in the Knights before Ritchie flew the coop

  13. Now the dust has settled I have to chuckle to myself with all the rhetoric about FEV only scored a boat load of tries cos the Dons were rubbish which is true but I've watched Dons Vids and if you let them play they play some neat stuff and have scored some good tries  but sorry Dons fans you didn't lose because of what you did you lost because of what we did bottom line we just didn't let you play
