after snatching a last minute win up at Barrow last week, sees the Bulldogs at home to Halifax who will be smarting from there loss against York last week so hopefully no sting in the tail and sees a Bulldogs victory who are still missing young McGowan but have Luke Hooley on loan from Leeds still to take his place. A win tomorrow will see Bulldogs 2pts clear in 2nd to go into next weeks game in France where a win there as well will see them have a 4pt cushion in 2nd.
just updated last couple of MOM points and had to do a doubletake when adding Danes pts to the table and had to recheck the previous threads as though i had missed something but this was his first time this season in the top 3 so shows how well the other players have been playing.

read what i put in the BISSA post ,as i said if you are that concerned put your money where your mouth is ,so BISSA can assist in strengthening the squad, as like others on here have said we are a club that is running on a tight budget so we have a club to support for many more years to come or do we ask the BOD to spend what we ain't got and go bust and have no club to support. Maybe what money they have got is already put to one side for next seasons recruitment as many have said we do have quite a few players coming to the end of their careers at this level so will need replacing .

That seems to have been a problem this last two seasons.
if you watch a lot of games its not just Batley that have this problem as players seem to think that we have just scored and tend to lose concentration for a few minutes and happens to quite a few teams not just us

Samy gave as good, or bad performance as most today. He had some wild passes thrown at him which went down but also a simple one as well. He tackled well I thought but just like a few others missed one or two. Think he should have been used as interchange though and Keegan as the starter. Nobody was overly inspiring even Hooley dropped 1 kick. I'm going to have my usual chirrup about dropgoals; at 6-6 for a long time and most of the game being played between the 20's, the time we did have at their end we never got lined up for one. We kept playing out left and Woods and Meadows were always out there. Barrow got in position for 2 shots, 1 which they got off. Scores level, all hell and no notion, take the 1, get the ball back and press again. AND again we got caught out and conceded a try from a kick off we didn't have in the script.
according to the commentators that there was a strong wind against us in 2nd half as i'm sure Woods would have gone for the 1 otherwise

Oh dear there seems to be a massive hold up on the motorway, looks like the Woodman Bus is going to be running late, lets hope the players bus is somewhere in front.
The Barrow ladies match v Leigh as been put back to 17.30, fingers crossed.

just seen Linners interview on Dewsbury reporter site about unlikely-hood of new bodies been added to this years squad even though hit with injuries which suggests finances are very tight at the club and number of people moaning why we not going for x y and z who has come available and other clubs around us are strengthening left right and centre for 2nd half of the season in a push for play off places, i know most of the moaners will already donate BISSA but there must be ones that are not, so now is the time to put your money where your mouth is and get donating to BISSA , I myself have increased my monthly payment from a tenner to fifteen and appreciate not everyone is able to do this, but i'm sure if the funds are there via BISSA , the squad could be strengthened .

125 miles up to the Mount m42 and M1 just over 2 hrs and return journey feels like 3 hrs if lost and just an hour if won

Bulldogs go on their travels up the toon to take on bottom placed Newcastle , lets hope bulldogs dont go in to this match thinking its won before they got there but a nice win by a few points will help in keeping in the top 3 especially with Toulouse winning at Fev last night

Toulouse v Batley predictions
in Batley Bulldogs
Posted
forecast is 31 degrees at KO with thunderstorms so could be a slippy ball and slippy pitch which we are more accustomed to , so keep the unforced errors down and a tight defence could see us sneak a win then a few pots in the Melting Pot after to celebrate
