  1. Looking at the bans the two Oldham players got, Cameron eight matches and Whittel four and none of the Rochdale players got anything stinks of an injustice to the Oldham Club. Anyone who was there saw Chase start the fracas, the pathetic water carrier compounding it and the melee that ensued. Surely, the body that looked at the video must have seen the same! If they did how can they penalise one and not the other? CH, I hope, will appeal on those grounds - BUT WILL HE?
  2. Has anybody heard anything about who might be with us next season?

Shame there had to be a loser today. Your defence was awesome for the full 80 minutes. Can I wish you all at Hunslet a good break and a better season next year.

    Just Chat

I've noticed like others that we often go off at a tangent, so I thought let's have a chat page. My chat is, on Sunday at the game I was talking to Sean Whitehead about Blackpool Borough and we couldn't remember the name of their ground. And last night at about 5am I started to think about all of the great Rugby grounds, with memories, that have now gone. Beginning with Watersheddings.

Since nobody else has started a Doncaster topic I thought I'd get the ball rolling. Play like they did in the second half last week I'd be happy to get away with 80 start.
  6. There seems to be very little evidence reading the national papers or on the television that the RL world cup is taking place this year. All we hear is constant references to the RU world cup in 2023! Surely. there must be someone at RL headquarters responsible for promoting our RL world cup.
  7. Since nothing is being posted, I was just wondering if the law Cup game is on. If so, when? I know we have one friendly against Wakefield followed by the challenge cup game. Just watched the try compilation from the 88 - 89 season, on Youtube, what a great side we had. I'm sure it said there were 4,600 watching the Yeds playing Keighley.
  8. Wishing everyone associated with Oldham Roughyeds a Fantastic Christmas and a better 2022.
  9. Did the meeting take place on Tuesday? I can't find any evidence that it did.
  10. I know this topic has been hammered - but the question still exists "what next for our great club?" CH talks about not knowing what is going to happen, surely he should know! We the supporters should be shown a little more respect, sadly this has never been his forte. I fear with CH hoping this will be ok will be the death knell.
  11. There has been lots of information relayed on the Whitehaven tag. Let's get it on it's own site. Lots of rumours flying around such has CH has no links at all with Whitebank and is running the club from his front room and when we get relegated we are not welcome there. Also, the club house/bar area is now a boxing academy. Let's get everything out on this site and hopefully get some answers.
  12. A game we have to win. This isn't a game to mess about with the team BUT I'd drop Bent, put Charnock in at loose forward and play Green at stand-off. Return Bridge to the second row with Langtree. Sadly, I can't think who else we can play at fullback who can catch the high balls, that's the only reason why Abram is in the side.
  13. What can Diskin do to change things around with the players he's got? I have been told the bar will be open.
  14. Could this be the turning point of our season? Just lets hope we can get a decent side out this weekend. Does anybody know where I can get tickets to get in and will we let it Widnes supporters?
  15. Every game we get another injury. At the moment I haven't a clue who is fit and who is injured or who can't play for whatever reason. If anyone knows anything could they post it on this page.
  16. We must have a great chance of winning this one after the great win against Halifax and a good game against London. Just hope we don't have any more injuries - Hewit didn't look too good when he went off.
  17. In every game we are getting better and with a couple of old heads returning to the side I can see us beating 'fax. I would stick with Green at the back and bring Gregory on after 20 mins - he always makes a massive impact when he comes on. Just a wild thought, play both Langers and Bridge in the centres.
  18. How many. if any, players will we have back? We can't afford another embarrassing defeat like last week. I hope Diskin has read the riot act about the number of penalties we gave away so giving them field position and even more possession. If he hasn't and we are thread bare again, can we say we can't fulfil the fixture and lose by 24 like London did last weekend?
  19. Well we have had two friendlies now the fun really starts! According to the press, Barrow haven't had ant pre-season games which should suggest we are better placed. It will be very interesting what team Diskin puts out. Theoretically, it has to be his strongest side with the forced omissions of Leaming and Joy. But will he? He can't afford to lose to Barrow but he can't continue tinkering with his side either. The new season begins the week after, so he must have a settled side for Swinton, again a game against a side we can't afford to lose against.
  20. When do you think next season's fixtures will be published? Want to sort out my trip to Toulouse.
