Forward trio to leave Warrington Wolves

Warrington Wolves have confirmed that Ryan Bailey, Jordan Cox and Mitchell Dodds will leave the club at the end of the year after notifying the trio their contracts will not be renewed.

All three players joined Warrington in pre-season of 2016, but will leave after just one season at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Bailey made his club debut in May and went on to make 15 appearances – including two on the big stage: the Challenge Cup final at Wembley and the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford.

Cox kicked off his Warrington career at the start of the season in February after joining from Hull KR, but he will also depart.

Dodds made just two appearances for the Wire, but a serious injury saw him commit to various media roles and time in the local community for the rest of the season.

Head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith said: “I’d like to thank all three players for their contributions over the course of the season. They all played their part in helping us achieve the League Leaders’ Shield and making it to two finals. I wish them all the very best for the future and good luck in the next chapter of their careers.”
