Fuifui Moimoi heading to Super League?

One of the NRL’s most recognisable and cult characters could be on his way to England, after Fuifui Moimoi announced he would be leaving Parramatta after 11 incredible seasons with the club.

The 34-year-old walked out of a training session this week after it was revealed he will not feature in the Eels’ last home game of the season, Australian media are reporting. And with him out of contract at the club at the end of the current season, it’s been mooted that the powerhouse prop is on his way to England – a move that has been touted for some time.

Moimoi, who has played 201 games for the Eels since debuting in 2004, was later named to play for Wentworthville in the NSW Cup.

Parramatta plan to celebrate the careers of Moimoi, Ben Smith and Willie Tonga at their final home game of the season on Friday.

There would undoubtedly be a host of interest in his services in Super League, with the New Zealand and Tongan international still a devastating player even in his mid-30s.
