Gaskell to miss Bradford’s match with Leigh

Lee Gaskell has been ruled out of Bradford’s Summer Bash game with reported suitors Leigh Centurions.

The 25-year-old has been linked with a move to the Centurions with his contract at The Provident Stadium set to expire at the end of the year.

Gaskell, who is also thought to be attracting interest from Hull FC and Huddersfield, returned to the Bradford squad for their victory over Swinton almost two weeks ago after missing two games through injury. He also played in Rohan Smith’s first official game in charge against Sheffield last week, but he will not be making the trip to Blackpool after limping out of the victory over the Eagles with a hamstring injury.

In better news for the Bulls, Richie Mathers returns to the squad for Bradford’s blockbuster clash with Neil Jukes’ side, although Paul Clough misses out after picking up an injury against Sheffield.

Bradford’s 19-man squad to face Leigh: Lucas Walshaw, Adam O’Brien, Dale Ferguson, Kurt Haggerty, Mitch Clark, Steve Crossley, Danny Addy, Richie Mathers, Joe Lumb, Jay Pitts, Kris Welham, Oscar Thomas, Danny Williams, James Clare, Tom Olbison, Adam Sidlow, Alex Mellor, Omari Caro, Matty Blythe.
