Gaskell could play in ‘half a million pound game’ for Bradford

Rohan Smith has confirmed that Lee Gaskell is back in training – and could play in Sunday’s massive game with Featherstone.

The two West Yorkshire teams will battle it out for a place in the Qualifiers, with only the winner of the match making the top four as the other will miss out.

The Bulls welcomed back both Dale Ferguson and Omari Caro in yesterday’s 44-12 victory over Oldham, with winger Caro scoring five tries, earning him the League Express Player of the Week award.

But the influential Gaskell has yet to return after suffering a hamstring injury in Bradford’s victory over Sheffield almost two months ago.

However, Smith has confirmed he has a chance of featuring in Sunday’s all-or-nothing clash.

“There’s a chance that Lee will be available for selection,” Smith confirmed.

“He did one of the most combative wrestle sessions I’ve seen in a while the other day. We’ll see who he gets on in the week and see if he will be in contention there.”
