Gene keen to get back into coaching in near future

Former Newcastle Thunder coach Stanley Gene has revealed he’s looking to get back into coaching as soon as possible after the end of his stint in charge of the League 1 club this year.

Gene left Thunder earlier this year and is currently out of work, but says he’s ready to get back into the coaching game whenever he can, adding he’d even be keen on working as an assistant.

“I would consider being an assistant coach. And at any level too. I’m always ready to coach,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.

“I have plenty to offer and I don’t want it going to waste.

“I’ll see what the next three weeks bring and hopefully I can get something sorted.”
