Castleford Tigers are thought to be closing in on Huddersfield star Larne Patrick.
The Wales international missed Huddersfield’s impressive victory over Warrington last week, and the 27-year-old is now set to make a move to the Tigers.
Daryl Powell has reportedly been in the market for a forward for some time, with Cas also rumoured with a move for current free agent Danny Tickle and even Brett Ferres before his move to the Leeds Rhinos.
Whether Patrick’s departure would pave a way for Huddersfield to sign Tickle remains unknown, but head coach Paul Anderson has publicly admitted he is keen on signing the 33-year-old.
Patrick spent last year on loan at Wigan but returned to the Giants this season.
