Forward Mike Greenhalgh has penned a new one-year contract that will see him remain with London Skolars until the end of the 2019 season.
The 24-year-old joins twin brother, Judd, in extending his stay at the New River Stadium, and admitted it was a no-brainer to re-sign with the club for the upcoming campaign.
“I’m really looking forward to this season,” said Greenhalgh.
“With a few new faces in the squad I think we can do really well. Having discussed the direction of the club, I was more than happy to re-sign.”
Greenhalgh signed first-team forms with the club in November 2015, but several injury complications meant that the Philippines native made just 6 appearances for Jermaine Coleman’s side last term, scoring one try in the process.
Commenting on the deal, head coach, Coleman, said: “Mike had a disrupted season last year due to injuries and a slow start, but when he is fully fit he’s a destructive player.
“We’re working hard this year on improving the qualities he has and developing the areas of improvement. With a big pre-season, I expect Mike to be a real leader in our forwards.”
