Hauraki charged with illegal use of knees

Castleford Tigers star Weller Hauraki will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening after being charged with the Grade C offence of recklessly striking with his knees in a First Utility Super League Round 22 fixture against Hull FC.

Hauraki, who does not have the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea, was charged after the 77th-minute incident involving Hull’s Jordan Abdull, was viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel.

No other charges were brought from Round 22.
